I'm having an odd, intermittant problem with my 1010 lights. My tail lights have completely stopped working (brake lights still fine) and my turn signals work part of the time. They will even work at different times during the same drive. 4 way flashers still work all the time (so not a bulb...
Lonestar MVPA meets next Wed at Camp Mabry. Show up and talk to some of the other deuce owners (there is a growing, and I mean GROWING number of us). I can certainly help you install the light switch and show you around the winch (what appears wrong with it?), and give you pointers on doing...
My point is you should have some knowledge of the vehicle or have someone along that could help (so I agree with shipping). I suggest you think about joining the Lonestar MVPA. The next meeting is May 19 at Camp Mabry. Not sure of the exact number but there are at least 10 deuces in the group...
But be sure one of you has SOME mechanical ability or speed dial to a friend that does. Between myself and TexAndy we've probably recovered, or helped recover, 20 deuces in the last year. Out of all of those only 1 hand any significant problems when driving it off the lot. But if you're going...
DUVAC is removed and the top alt is wired straight to the 24v bus bar and the top IGN is wired to the bottom IGN.
I'm getting 30v coming in to the batt equalizer and 16.2 going out. Maybe need to turn down the top alt regulator?
Well back to square 1 or at least 1.5.
LED is not coming on. Front batt is charging at 16.1 while the rear is at 14.6. The LED came on once this morning as I saw it through the open hood while I was starting it and then it went out and hasn't been seen since.
Any way to test the...
The "master" switch was what we thought the culprit was to begin with so tried with it "on" and "off." I'll run the system for a couple of days to see what happens. Right now, as long as I'm not frying the front battery I figure I'm a mile ahead and just need to keep tweaking things to get it...
Well got everything in today (huge THANK YOU to TexAndy for helping out) and it looked good. Started it up, LED was on, front batt was charging at 14.6 (it was a little low to begin with) and rear at 14.2. No smoke - always a good thing - and we shut it down congratulating ourselves for...
I'm getting ready to dive into mine tomorrow. I have the circuit diagram for the charging system so I'm just going to have a go myself and then beg for help if I blow something up.
I'm planning to run the 12v to the 12v junction block (center left on the firewall). Is this where you ran...
Kyle - I'm sticking with the tan as there is too much overspray on the mouldings to try and switch back to the 3 color. The tan is a bit unique although we're seeing an awful lot of it around Ft Sam due to the current theatre of operations.
Ian - with the 80amp equalizer I should be okay with...
Pulling the plug on the trip this year. Still too many bugs to get worked out on the 1010 to risk it and try to keep to a schedule. If I put it off until next year I can take my time and not worry about trying to be at the MVPA Nat'l Convention on a certain date. That will also give me the...
Got the batt equalizer yesterday. Didn't realize it was going to be quite as heavy as it is! Being the "fly by the seat" type person I didn't order the circuit breakers thinking I could just get them locally. I can (at $50/per) but haven't picked them up yet. ASE doesn't have any 100amp...
I have what I believe is a similar problem on my M1010. At highway speed if I take my foot off the accelerator to slow down there is no accelerator until it drops down below 35mph and then it jumps and is fine. I was told it was a sticky governor but haven't delved in to it more.
What was funny was the lady telling bystanders "they think they're going to start that thing."
I think she was kind of mad when it did start.
On the "local" issue, Andy's was marked Delaware National Guard.
I just picked up a mobile pumping set up with storage tanks and was looking for the dimensions of everything. Basically wondering if I can get the whole set up on a 16' trailer or not. Of course the tanks won't be stacked on each other like the picture.
