Why so long to finish? I could do it with some kid to pass me tools in less than a week, even without taking any time off. If you plan it out well and get all the parts staged, should be a very quick swap, especially if the donor is a runner. I highly recommend you make sure it is. Swapping in a...
If your turn signals and brake lights are not working on the rear, it is either corrosion, ( in the plug on the turn signal switch or the connection between the rear harness and the front. Plug is under cab on driver side inner frame rail.) or it is your signal switch. Highly doubtful that both...
Get an external hydraulic pump, hook the lines to the boom to it, take off the stops (816 has stops right?) and have the truck pull it's own heart out!
That's what I would do. How soon do you need to do this? I have an old jaws of life power unit (diesel too) that I could maybe lend...
They are messing with you tdevinjr, no such thing.
The only thing we are saying is the numbers don't add up, more than likely you have a bad tach. If you were doing 65mph then your engine would HAVE to be turning (with the stock gearing and 9x20 tires) at close to 3000rpm. I'd check that tach...
Unless the gear ratio's have been changed, or your tach or speedometer is reading incorrectly, this is not possible with bare bones stock.
Have you verified speed with a GPS unit or tag vehicle?
Problem with these fuel systems is you get any pinhole leak and the fuel will drain back to tank, making it hard to start.
That could have been enough of a hole to allow the fuel to drain back. I would take filters along but otherwise drive it and see if that corrected the problem. I always...
I got them! If you want, PM me your address and I'll mail you a CD with them on it.
Also,
Good Wix numbers-
Oil Filter- 512004
Primary Fuel- 33540
Secondary Fuel- 33540
Haven't found an air filter that works yet. Going to get some batteries in a moment, and try to fire it up. Spent...
Yes, back to the MV part...
I also diagnosed CASE's brake troubles as being a failed airpack (based on the information I got from CASE) when we spoke right after he left his truck and was on his way to Jay's. We are all here to help each other in this hobby, no matter which group we belong...
All I was doing was going to the water hose to fill up the radiator.
It happened to me, but I posted it as a lesson. I sure got blasted by some people about the mistake I made. I was trying to help/remind others with my post. Don't get excited, don't move the truck until you have...
That's why most of us in SC will pay close to 2k for a truck, so we don't have to haul one back 250+ miles. Fuel, time, and headaches (getting a day off work, possible breakdowns on the road) add up the dollars quick.
