    Going rate for an M818

RE: Re: Going rate for an M818 I think you can get one private party for $7-$8K. I believe one of our members recently had a nice one for sale in that range. Here are some dealer prices (these will be on the high end). http://www.easternsurplus.net/5.html...

    Deuce 1st Run!

I think so. Maybe oldshep can give some feedback about his experience to counter all of the bad stuff normally heard about USA6x6.

    speedo/tach combo?

David- I know the other trucks in the M915 series are heavier and have a lower gear package (6.17 vs. 4.44), but do you have any knowledge on top end speed for the M916, M917, M918, M919 or M920? The -10 indicates 59 MPH @ 2100 RPM, but it also says 67 MPH for the M915!

    Looking for tow bar chains

There is a standard chain issued with 5 ton trucks w/ winches. That is what I have used when towing. The big loops in either end work great for attaching the chain to towing shackles so it can't come loose. I think the TM says to run the chain(s) back to the spring hangars, but I have just...

NEW HUMVEE 16.5 RIMS for my M1008!

Yes, sounds familiar, very familiar. I'm sorry to hear about your frustration with USA 6x6. Were you not aware of their "issues", or did you try to just give them the benefit of the doubt?

Has anyone shortened their truck's wheelbase?

RE: Has anyone shortened their truck Yeah, you are looking at a lot of work. And you are not just doing a "bob" like many deuce guys have. You have a the XLWB chassis with the reinforced frame as you mention. 5 ton stuff is much, much larger than deuce stuff. And bridge trucks are even...

    FMTV rims on 809-series

Okay, this is making a little sense now. I bought a lot of 395s from GL and 3 of the tires had 2 piece rims (20 bolts). The rims did have some external CTIS components that I removed. They must have been FMTV, but all along I thought the were M939 series. I used the rims on the front of a...
