Changed my filters the other day and I think I have found the problem, I have a fuel leak at the fitting comming off the primary to that line running under the crossmember. Anyone know the PN or NSN for this incase I can't get a good take off on my adventure today?
And the list gets bigger. Lol. For most of the smaller things, I probly won't be looking for much of a gain, but IP's and such I might go a little higher than the small stuff. but nothing outreageous, I know how tight money is these days.
Not sure but I can look. I'll be going by tomorrow and if I can get more than a day I'll post the pickings as well as what I'll have grabbed on the run.
By the way, I am willing to ship most things, so this won't be a pick up only thing. Kinda need a bit of money due to the job market not being helpful ATM. So this should be a half decent opportunity for fuel money
Not sure if this goes here or salvage yard. But apparently Falcon Steel in Wilmington is scrapping 3 deuces. I was dropping off an application and talking with some of my uncles buddys, they said if I come by tomorrow they'll see if they can get me a shot at taking all the parts I need. I'm not...
I just found a leak at the fitting comming off the primary filter, a decent drip that makes a small puddle after 5 or so minutes. Also it seems the rubber hose at the IP is leaking as well. Has anyone thought of just leaving about 1 inch of copper hose off the primary and making the rest up to...
Gimp,
What is the best way to check for air leaks in the fuel system on the motors? I have a sneaking suspicion I'm getting some air in the lines. Still have my surging problem with the engine even with new clean filters. And words of wisdom from Mr. 10,000?

I've got a screw out disconnect on the negative terminal on mine, I leave the fuel cutoff pushed in because I really don't need it gumming up on me in a cold snap, but, I also never leave the trans or Xcase in gear, hand brake always on and a cinder block between the duals.
Got mine to start when the temp dropped to about 15 here for two days, I always use the manifold heater anywhere under 32, just in case, I don't like Murphy, so I do all I can to keep him away 8)
Primary 3511
Secondary 3512
There is a drain coc at the bottom of all 3 housings, might need a pair of pliers to open them the first time, my secondaries were a PITA till I got out the pliers, now they're easy :grd:
Filters are a deffinate, I tried draining mine with pump off, nothing from primary, nothing from forward secondary(final? Just behinde IP) and a drizzle from rear secondary. Turned the pump on and got a drizzle from primary ( did not check forward secondary again). All diesel, no water. Already...
Oh, forgot to mention, I'm running straight diesel with winter conditioner. I haven't had it stall on me, but I feel I'm going to start experiencing this as well soon.
