Uh oh,
Seems I went and won a M109 at Ft Jackson today.
I had to, it went for a decent price and when I went to look at the other M35s they had, the guy there had to move this truck so I got to see it run and drive. Purrs like a kitten.
Now I have to break it to momma that I got another big...
Get a bullet in the tranny of a deuce- drive until it grinds to a hault.
Get a bullet in the tranny of an FMTV- it grinds to a hault.
Boo technology. I'm with those that say it better run when it's needed, and all that nice comfy crude is what will keep something from running if it goes bad...
RE: Re: RE: Hmmm, something fishy here
Yes. Mine no go no more.
Well, no, it still goes. But if I add up the cost of all the parts to fix it up right I could just get a whole truck. I've found several major issues with the front end that need to be addressed, the hydraulic head on my IP is...
Well, at least you remembered the day the auctions closed. I thought it was today. aua
So I didn't win squat. But fishy for me, is that my closed watchlist shows only 3 lots, none of the trucks that went up yesterday.
Now I have to sit around and wait for somemore trucks to come up for...
Yes, I just had to take mine off to run Mangus's M37 up to him, and I found out they are just like on a deuce or M37, tighten to the front, loosen to the rear. That's how I remember it anyway.
Unless your M101 is the updated one with CUCV wheels, then I'm not sure...
I have this same button, but lately I've been having trouble with my horn just going off whenever it feels like it. I think there is a ground in the wire from the button to the horn solenoid, but I have yet to find it. With Aberdeen coming up, I may just run a new wire, after I take the steering...
Hey Ryan,
If you wanted to run down I-77 sometime to Ridgeway, I would be glad to let you play with my deuce. Might have to wait a week or so, Aberdeen is upon us...
Adam
Two of my inside tires were that way, I drove to Aberdeen last year on one of them. (bad Ferro!!!) The tube has a tendency to rotate within the tire when no air pressure is inside it holding it fast to the walls of the tire and rim. Which will drag the valve stem inside. Somehow. Mine...
Actually, I was over at the scrap yard this afternoon, and the guy said, can you wait until May 1 and come back? I asked him why, and he said it was going up $50 a ton on May 1st at that yard.
Great save! hope it works out to be a good truck.
I now work in a steel mill now here in SC, and we melt down scrap to make 'fresh' rebar, angle, and channel.
We are having a hard time FITTING all the scrap coming through the gates. Piles as high as 4 story buildings. Most all chopped up and...
Yes, I'm a maniac.
I've been needing (er, wanting) a pyro for sometime, so I finally ordered one and installed it today. Ordered it from Diesel Manor, and it arrived fine. I did ask for a 24vdc one, but got a 12vdc instead. I needed it for this weekend, so I installed it anyway, just ran a wire...
I just use a glad hand with a quick connect on it, then two 25ft hoses together with another quick connect on the end of the hose. Hook it to the emergency air line on the back of the deuce, then I can reach anywhere on the front, and even to the rear of the M146 hooked to the deuce. Its a good...
Joe,
if we get too big to hold it at your place, I just bought a nice spot outside Ridgeway, 10min from I-77. It has a mile of trails, not all big enough for a deuce though. But a 10acre open field to have a gathering in. And 62 acres to explore. Just a thought.
But pissing off your deuce...
Hey guys, I need some emergency help! Anyone know where I can get some brake parts for the M146 trailer? (or have some laying around?)
I really need:
The main air valve:
PN# MS53004-1
NSN 2530-00-118-8589
I also need the brake hose and lines from the MC down to the axle, over to the wheels...
2004. It was the transfer pump, apparently 2003-2004 dodge diesels had a fault prone transfer pump mounted on the fuel filter housing. 2005 and up had a new almost flawless intank pump. The dealer is installing the new pump with an adapter. Too bad its not a warrenty issue. $900 to get it fixed...
Well, something terrible happened with my Dodge 2500 diesel, not sure what it is yet, but it ain't good. Dad (herc69) and I drove up to VA on Thursday so I could pack up more stuff (moving from VA to SC) Truck ran great on the way there, then started to buck and shake really bad and stall...
