    immobilizing a Water Buffalo

Thanks for all the suggestions guys! Appreciate it. I tend to lean on the err of caution of most of you recommend...but it is really funny, our 546 was out there for 5 months last year in a very VERY accessible area, and nobody touched it! Luck of the draw I guess!:-|

    immobilizing a Water Buffalo

Many interesting suggestions! haha appreciate it guys. The point is to keep it movable without much hassle, I was thinking of a chain (obviously), or a long iron bar through the wheels....thought that their may be some bolt to remove to make it difficult to move. I really like hiring an old...

    immobilizing a Water Buffalo

We frequently do prescribed burns out in the area in question with a local professor (who is about 64). He comes back on his way home from work to triple check for smokes, and the poor guy has to travel about 5 miles to get to a hose to fill his Indian can from if he finds one....so in this...

    immobilizing a Water Buffalo

Kind of a strange question for you guys. My fire district has to take a water buffalo out to a wildlife area, and leave it filled with water. It will be out there for the summer, but not permenantly. What can we do to immobilize this thing? Of course we are going to chain it to a large...

Plus one on checking the oil first. I always do this to my powerwagons regardless of if I ran them yesterday or not!

CTIS - "FLAT?" - HELP!!! (newb)

I know this doesn't answer your question...but CTIS is really problematic, all the A3's that I have seen have it disabled, and still the tires all run flat... That is very cool that you have a working system! How do you like it?

    Deuce Top

I know this is a 3 year old thread.... But in the 80's the M-37 that my fire crew had at work used to have a deuce hardtop fitted to it with re-bar robs welded to the inside. I checked out a picture I found in the bosses office (will post it if anyone else chimes in here) and it was pretty...

seat belt and turn signal required in '51 M37?

If you had to install some, try using the belts front a M1009 Blazer...we have these installed in our deuce and a half at work, and they work decent, plus look military.

    engine noise level?

They are rather noisy at certain speeds...but then again so are most diesels! One thing to check, is did you have the floor vents open? I've found closing those cuts down the noise...not much, but a tiny bit.

    Help, Needed Badly

Ok guys, I need assistance from the experienced M37 owners on here. I love these trucks, but I have NO heavy engine repair experience. Brakes, wiring, body, I can work out, but i have never had an engine apart. My buddy who is a mechanic advised me to get new valve seals and rings in order to...
