I can imagine anything the small being in that area either. It's a pretty small bolt. I put the inspection cover back on and the noise is gone. No big leaks.
I was driving earlier this week and noticed a pretty intense new noise in the flex plate/torque converter area. I took off the inspection cover to find this rolling around in the bottom.
Any thoughts on where it came from? I'm not sure where it would come from in that area but I'm not...
Found I had the opportunity to replace my heater core. Of course I broke off 2 of the bolts at the plastic housing. It's back up and running with no leaks and a repaired plastic housing. I'm not sure if I can see the difference in heat living in So Cal but at least the passenger's feet won't...
I'm about to do something similar with my M1031. I've used POR-15 in the past but the results weren't what as consistent as I would like. I was thinking of going with frame saver instead. Why did you choose POR-15 for your truck?
So I've found something I don't really understand when I removed the bed. It's in the brake system and tied to the rear axle.
I beleive it's a proportioning valve that adjusts to the load on the truck. I'm not sure what to do with it. Can I just unhook it from the axle and drive it like...
It's been slow going due to work but here's the current view.
I'm still working on getting parts out and thinking of the next steps.
I have several paths. Might be blasting the paint off for body work or suspension and tires to still drive it around. The current tires are so old that I'm...
I just had the same thing happen 2 months ago. I had my original rebuilt at a local shop. It wasn't any cheaper but I know the tank would fit and it doesn't leak.
I'm still interested in what worked and what was required. Other than the length, is it different for just the NP205 in the way it mounts to the support and how the electronics are used?
I was looking to see if the 2wd version works. Does the current NP205 mount bolt up? What other little parts that you don't think about are required to make the transmission operational. How does the controller work?
That's what I'm hoping for. The original poster has a NP208 transfer...
I've looked around on the site for this but came up empty using the search button.
I took my M1031 to a scale today and it weighted in at 6600 lbs with a full fuel tank.
The generator was between 280 - 300 lbs.
