    Lockers or no Lockers?

Re: ID Lockers The axle spacing is definitely greater (at least on the M812/M821/M945). It is 56" versus the normal 54" spacing on 5 tons. Check your data plates or manuals to see. The spring pack is different as it has more leafs (3 more I believe). Torque rods are also different. In the...

What is the width gained from fliping hubs on a M813?

Damn, those are shiny. They look great. I've never done a hub flip on the 5 ton, but the track should be the same front and rear.

Opinions needed on Off-road driving capabilities...

Singles are the best offroad. The Army now runs singles on all (virtually) tactical vehicles. Tire design matters too. If you are still running NDCC, ditch those and get some Michelins XL or XZL.

What's the best way to mount tubeless 2-piece Combat wheels?

Re: RE: What I don't know what you are referring to here. On the rims I have, the oring lies in a groove and is compressed when the bolts are tightened. What do you mean "ease the outer rim edge over it?"

What's the best way to mount tubeless 2-piece Combat wheels?

RE: What Here is what I do, the manual may provide better insight. Insert beadlock. Make sure the rim is clear of debris and smooth. Make sure tire bead is smooth and clean and use a little tire bead goo. Set rim on a small block to eleveate from the ground a few inches. Lay tire over base...

Anybody have info on White trucks used in Military?

Anybody know about early 80s White cabovers used by the military for carrying 20' ISO containers and command centers? I remember seeing 2 or 3 up on GL recently (Alabama?). Anyone have a link or pictures to that?

Not sure which tire to run on a 5-ton - 14-20 or 16-20?

With a bridge truck, I would consider 1600s only because the axle spacing is 56". There could be issues up front though.

    11.00 20's or 16.00 20's on bobbed M35

RE: 11.00 20 Yep, that is ideal. They can *fit* on a stock rim, but I wouldn't recommend it.

    11.00 20's or 16.00 20's on bobbed M35

Is the "Bridge Trucks" rated correct at only 5-ton

RE: Bridge Trucks Hey H20, can you post or send me a picture of your truck? I'd like to see it.

    11.00 20's or 16.00 20's on bobbed M35

RE: 11.00 20 I think 1600s are too big for a deuce. I prefer the 395s. Neither one should be used with a stock rim, although it is possible to mount them. You could run dual 1100s on stock rims. I don't think I have seen that done on a bobbed deuce. I have seen dual 900s.

    Which is better?

Yes, unless you plan to run down the highway all the time. 4.56 gearing in the M1008.
