I just got back from a week long road test from Ft. Lauderdale, FL to Tampa, FL. Total of 615 miles. The truck is outstanding !!!!!. Power+Speed+AC+Radio+Low Noise inside Cab:-D
Here are some pictures on I-275 in St. Pete going into Tampa. I was on my way home today and looks like I'm getting...
I put 2 cans of 134 in the AC system and it was blowing cold air:D But look like the compressor maybe leaking. Some more $$$.
Some pictures of the bed(it can this way)
I bought some new headlights from Walm**t and one of the new lights was bad, I put one of the old ones back in for now. Used small carboard to hold the screws in place.
The P400 would not fit with the oil pan that it has. It would have to be custom made. Its been done on a two wheel drive not sure if it can be done on a 4X4 like mine. So I went with the GEP 6500.
See build thread below...
Yes, she found the invoice for the 30kw. She wasn't happy at first. I have to go to Tampa 28-Feb-4th-March for work, then I have Military duty Sat and Sun. I'll try to get my trailer and gen out of your yard when I get back.

:lol:She's up in MD seeing my kid. She doesn't know how much $$$ I've spent on this thing yet and as long as she doesn't read SS she won't know.8) I'll list what I have in it so far later tonight.
Finally was able to get it out of my back yard. Had to do the "learning a TDC offset" for it to run right. It goes like this:
1. Engine temp greater than 170F
2. Ignition on, engine off.
3. Hold the accelerator pedal in wide open throttle position for 45 seconds.
4. Release pedal and turn off...
Picked up the new starter brace and oil cooler line clip and installed them last night. One of the old clip were out of shape a little, not going to take a chance of the cooler line popping off and dropping all my oil.:-(
Picked-up the new driveshaft and installed it today after work. It only took three days to get it.
The driveshaft cost me $400.00 complete and looks pretty nice.
I'll be test driving the truck Sat to see if there are any problems.( got to move a lot of stuff to get it out of the back yard now):)
Some more pictures. Also installed the skid plates.
Went to the Chevy dealer and ordered the starter bracket ($19.00) :-xand one oil cooler line clip ($8.00) I don't like the looks of one clip.:-x
I think I'll list everything I have bought for this build to see how much $$$ i've spent so...
Forgot to post pictures of the PMD being relocated to inside the front bumper. Put some black plastic tubing over the cable, I think it gives it that "clean look"and match's the rest of the cables.
I shouldn't have any over-heating problems with the PMD in this location. I was going to mount it...
I just dropped the driveshaft off in Davie, Fl. $375.00 for new HD tube and HD u-joints. Should have it by Friday.
Is there a gasket that goes between the down pipe and turbo?
Transmission cooler (Long Tru-Cool LPD 4589) works great and came with all the right fitting. Ran it from transmission line to the cooler and back to the radiator. I pulled a heavy load in WV, NC and SC with no over heating problems.
ODdave, is the differential lube SAE 75W-140 Synthetic(GM 12346140)
Found a Driveline shop just south of me in Davie, FL. he can make me a new driveshaft with a three day turn around.
Engine starts and runs…:p….Official time of rebirth 2:41 pm, Sunday the 20th of 2011. Took a little time to get all the air out of the fuel system, fixed a fuel leak at the bottom of the fuel filter housing (o-ring for the fuel heater). Engine sounds very strong. Next step new transmission...
