Perhaps we can work something out in the future. I'd love my Deuce to be a Crew Cab deuce and thus, I'd need to swap the bed off. Dunno if I want to do it to this deuce, but....*shrug* Perhaps we should talk about it later once you get your current project sorted out.
How easy is that to make look like an MB? I'm not going for a show vehicle but something I'm not going to be afraid to flog around in the woods at WWII events and more or less abuse lightly. ie it'll be working for it's pay.
My plans/hopes are to make it into a good runabout for WWII Events. It'll take a lot more money to make it any kind of show vehicle with a hope of winning. I'm not sure if I want to invest in a whole new steel tub for the body, even though it does appear to have a good bit of rust in the engine...
I use a siphon feed blaster with Dupont Star blast. It's very fine and almost powdery and feeds very well in a siphon blaster. There's also next to zero silica in the star-blast media which helps keep you from getting silicosis. After blasting, I blow it off with a bit more air, then shoot it...

• Oct 14: Minnesota is the most beautiful place on earth. The leaves are turned all the colors...
Down here in Georgia, it'd be legal for me to drive around with a real M2 on my Deuce if I was so inclined. Just don't actively point it at anyone and I'm good. I prefer that amount of latitude personally.
What about a shop vac down inside? To get the areas behind the baffles just hit them with air.
You should be able to get two areas clean (inside the fuel filler neck) and in the main part (pull the fuel pump).
Oh, if you look close, the Upper part of the troop seat backs stow under the bed on the side of the bed side frame with a couple of straps. You can see them just under the bed with a few of the square metal tubes hanging down just behind the rear tandems.
The 5 Ton ISO bed has taller sides and there are two panels per side, not one. They're largely a USMC thing and they handle 2 6'x6' ISO boxes or one each of a 6'x10' or 6'x12' ISO box. They have an unusual but still ISO type turn lock that you lift, turn 60 degrees and then when the container is...
I have the same problem with a bunch of tools, two 6 ton jack stands and such. My 20 Ton bottle Jack (not the fancy air powered type you rich guys buy ) fits in my undercab tool chest. Sad thing is, I bought a good second tool chest that fit on my 5 ton and sold it with the truck not...
