    Deuce Locking Door Handles

The holes on the handle I bought are slightly further apart, a difference of about 1/4". I milled out the holes a bit larger (8 shaped) with my drill press and added a pair of cutouts for the screw heads. This puts the screw heads slightly under the handle's edges.

    Deuce Locking Door Handles

So you need to grind down 4 flat areas to match the cutouts on the standard shaft and cut the shaft length down.

    Deuce Locking Door Handles

Locking handle success! Here's the first comparison of the two locks. The curved handle is the stock door handle. Nice, but no lock. The straight one is the $9 handle from PECO Campers. Seems like there's several makes of these out there. The replacement handle's square shaft is a bit longer...

    Deuce Locking Door Handles

I think I found a good source for the Deuce's locking Door handles. I went through homedepot and Lowes and couldn't find the right handles. Seems the Genie line has the locks in the face plate and not the handle and the Stanley hardware is special order only now (meaning you'll never get it from...

What makes a deuce a deuce?

But a gasser CCKW is a Deuce too. Of course, there's also the quintessential 15 CWT (hundred weight) and 3 Tonner and heavier in British service that's got a good reputation depending on the make. (CMPs, Scammels, etc).

    Hawk Radar System Trailers...

Three M514s (White, OD and MERDOC). Note the 3 jack system that fold. This is a 1 ton trailer. Also note it's height. This trailer has a torsion bar suspension! My contact is keeping the radar bits (pedistal, dishes, etc) to keep from any problems with radar system capabilities being published.

    Hawk Radar System Trailers...

These are the Hawk M390c and M514 trailers that I've tracked down. Your basic M390c. 2 Ton trailer, has several boxes and bins for radar control equipment. 4 leveling jacks that double swivel. Swing up and then swing under the bed.

A winch is a winch is a winch ... or is it??

seems like a hand engaged/disengaged main clutch lever would be nice up front next to the winch for some of those operations that you need to be there for. Push pull cable sort of thing. Question, if the winch is rolling in under no-load and low idle, is there anything wrong with using the...

    Residue or Parts Truck Needed...

We can sell parts of the fuel system (pump, gauges, hoses, etc), but not the tank itself. I do have a spare tank, it was collecting a larger than expected amount of algae so it's been swapped and the fuel filtered (double layer of an old terry cloth towel, good for grabbing the water out of the...

    Air Buzzer disable

What about a timer switch. Get in Truck, Crank Truck Buzzer goes off, turn switch to timer (2 minute timer), buzzer is now off. Truck warms up, you get peace and quiet from the buzzer, then the timer will go off hopefully after the 60psi limit time is on. But, the switch could fail.

    Residue or Parts Truck Needed...

Given fuel costs, I want to avoid having to ship it more than from a state away from Atlanta, Ga. I'll pester Ted and see if he has one. CSI has one that's apparently rusty but runs that we can probably part out the drive line bits from to make it a decent sign. I don't want to take a good truck...

    Residue or Parts Truck Needed...

So an Army/Navy Store near me want's a Deuce outside. I've discussed it with them and they have a budget of several thousand for it. The plan is to get a Decent body'd truck and take the engine, transmission and transfer box out as well as the steering wheel, seats and instruments and other...

    Bumper mounted vise

What gauge steel is that? Looks like it'd be pretty easy to fab one up.
