I'd rather not have to splice wires. Run a continuous wire to a connector. I don't mind splicing in at a single point a bunch of wires, but that preference is for the ends at the lights and components I've added so I can remove individual components.
ie I'd prefer
Light----wire-----Connector...
And I just found one of the companies that makes these.
http://www.amerline.com/singlewire.htm
Looks like they make the trailer, Slave and other types of connectors too.
I would still prefer a proper assortment kit for these. That'd make my work far easier when it comes to re-wiring things. Heck, if I'd had an assortment of these, I'd have used those rather than the standard crimp on style connectors you get at autozone. Still, those shoudld work fine given I...
The adjuster bolts are exactly like the ones on my Dingo. I was just unsure of direction to turn them. The ferret as two bolts one on top of another (one has a shaft inside the other) for adjusting the front and rear shoes.
thanks.
So, I know my Deuce will lock it's brakes. I was trucking down the street and decided that the now yellow light meant I needed to stop. So, I got on the brakes, hard. I must have hit the pedal like I do in the ferret (grab the wheel and lean back) because It really stopped. Sent my notebook...
It's Lockable Toole Storage that I'm wanting more of. If I have $300 worth of tools and such on the truck, the last thing I want is someone to be able to climb in the bed and just take them. Same things goes for jerry cans with fuel in them.
I kind of agree on the german jerry can design. I'm...
Already full. 50' Air hose, small tool bag, DOT Triangles, Flares, fire extinguisher, rain suit, ECWS jacket, butyl gloves and a box of spare headlights to keep the dot inspector's off my back.
That's right, it just spins the rear pumpkin. I really need to see if there's a MV junk yard near Fort Gilliem like I've been told by a few old salts around atlanta.
Snow is of course a fear. I'd greatly prefer not to have to try to re-install the rear drive shaft on the side of the road laying in snow. Front lockouts would be highly preferred. Heck, I wish there was an easy rear axle lockout box one could install.
So you're saying leave the front hubs 'engaged' and disconnect the rear axle? I'm wishing I had some 1100x20s already. (on the long list) Getting this trailer setup properly is costing a pretty penny.
Thing is, I'll be towing the 5 tons of trailer (1.5 for the trailer, 3 tons worth of dingo)...
So looking at old British Trucks has got me thinking about low profile tool boxes that could be installed under the beds of Deuces and 5 tons. Jerry can stowage too. The only thing I lack is a welder and chop saw to make them happen. Anyone think or make anything like this before?
For Jerry Can...
So, I have a 800 mile trip coming up this end of January. And I want to squeeze more milage from the deuce. I'll be pulling about 5 tons on a trailer behind so I'm not sure if I want to disable the rear dual. But, the front axle could certainly loose the extra drag. I'd love to get a set of...
I'd prefer to put it on a 1.5 ton trailer. I don't have the space for a 'pull only' shelter mobilizer. I could never park it in the spaces I have for the MVs beside/behind my house.
And finally, the light switch panel as well as a side shot to show off the front floods again. I haven't driven it with the floods, but they're bright right in front. I figure with highbeams and the floods on, I ought to really be able to blind the deer.
Of course the side shot shows how much...
