I was hoping someone would say that... I damaged a seal on the gladhand & was hoping fixing it would make a difference

quick report based on my recent experiences using my multi fuel compressor (deuce). I had trouble braking free some lugs recently using the gladhand for air, but using the fitting on the firewall spun them off, no problem. Thoughts?

what are you going to do for brakes?

Oh I forgot to mention that when I found a store with the correct socket (over the phone) they had just closed (they were about 40 minutes away). Payed with a credit card over the phone and they left the socket in the bed of a truck in their parking lot.

that was socket #1 tried to make it work. Ended up looking for and finding thr right one later on during the process

well Gary there are three more rear seals :)

I depends on how much time you waste calling around/driving to get the correct socket for the nut :oops:

here are some pics from my rear axle re-sealing. Many thanks to clinto for his help. I reused the inner, outer bearings and the tabbed lock washer. I used a new inner, outer, and axle seal. I used RTV in place of cork. I will be going through and captioning these after they are all in.

thanks, it turns out the the forward part of my tranny cover is from a 5ton & made it look like it should have been on the passenger side.

2 days of pb blaster and my 3/4" impact couldn't budge these. Here was my solution...

how is the speedo cable routed up the firewall? Is it between the legs of the heater ducting box mounted to the firewall?
