first thing, pull the oil fill cap off with the engine running. do you see smoke coming out? (a slight haze is ok).
if not much haze, then i would replace the CDR valve.
yup, although, why are you wanting to run them, they will make it darn near impossible to balance the tires. you can get a beadlock insert that will lock the tire to the rim, without all that fuss and weight.
RE: Re: RE: Headlights spare parts
lol, thats the great thing about the hella lenses, they direct the light down so it doesnt blind the other drivers. and oh boy can i see, I needed it since my lights are further up fromt the ground and the light disperses more.
RE: CDR valve from NAPA questions and other tune up question
The CDR on a diesel functions as the PCV valve. I know that murrays does list the correct part, worst case i can get the part# for you and cross it to a napa #.
RE: LOOKING FOR A COUPLE SETS OF IR HEADLIGHTS (HUMVEE OR TA
Please dont yell ;)
(all caps is construed as yelling on a chat board)
I see the lights on ebay from time to time, one of the guys may know of a surplus dealer that has them.
yup, i spent about $120 and got the kit fro Hella. Its thicker glass and has special prisms built into the glass to block the light that would blind other drivers.
that is one of the cleanest interiors that i have ever seen, congrads on a great find.
Also you have newer paint, I wish mine looked like that when it was dry.
if you mean the headlight itself, yup the parts store will have the factory replacement bulb for you, or you can get a conversion kit to use bulbs instead of sealed beams.
If you mean the cup that holds the light, then either LMC truck or a junk yard would be good places to check.
its a one piece bracket, attaches to a stud coming out of the forward end of the starter and bolts to the engine block.
The gear reduction starter used on the later year 6.5's will bolt into place of the original starter. (i view the original style as better, as you get higher cranking rpm's)
