when I installed my turbo on the M1009 i had a local muffler shop build me a 3" exhaust for it, but they had to run it on the outside of the frame and put a turnout infront of the rear tire... and just FYI- it sounds AWESOME!!!:jumpin:
welcome to the site, just FYI we have a local MV club, your welcome to come out sometime and ride along to event(s) and if you want to get in a test drive or 2, I'm sure some members would be happy to let you (myself included) -Josh knecht
we have the Louisville Veterans Parade on November...
The main thing is, did you have fun? Cause that's what it's all about.. :) now comes the fun part- clean up! Don't let the mud stay on the paint too long.. It "stains" it ant is really hard to come off..
My civy 6.5 made that noise once.... :x
It was a burnt exhaust valve... But seeing as your poping is coming out the intake.. (mine was poping through the exhaust). I would say burnt intake valve as well.. auaaua
from the pics posted- they look complete.. that has the PTO generator, the one that "goes across the bed" would be a gas/diesel generator.. the one i have is a PTO type, and its AWESOME!! :D
DB2= no computer, but its shorter then the DS4 pump, so the injection lines would need to be "streched"(re-bent) you would not need the PMD :D (trust me, this is a good thing) all you need for turning up the pump is a allen wrench
DS4= computer, the PO$ PMD and a nightmare of wireing up to...
a 5 ton crewcab with a full bed and with 6X6?!?!?! this is like a wet dream come true!!! we want pics, and a did i say pics?? i say go for it!:shock:
and i would use the m920, it would be the perfect lingth.. plus the frame is much stronger.. to bad you so far away, i would be...
my M35A2C non-turbo does the same thing... now if i just had some power to go with all that smoke :cookoo: anyone done a turbo "upgrade" to there non-turbo??
short answer- I was stupid I figured it out about a month later and got another one.. the "new" one is in much better shape.. i just need a C-turbo, some 395's and lockers:mrgreen:
sorry, i can see why you were confused... the first time i ran was last year with 395's and a C-turbo.. that truck made it all the way throught and out the other side
I sold that truck,
and got a non turbo truck with stock NDT's and the "new" truck only made it 2/3-3/4 of the way through this...
funny you should say that... thats what they had to use to get me out... the ton truck they used on everyone else just spun its little wheels when it hooked to me... lol:whistle:
the only thing i won't run in my 6.2/6.5 diesels is USED moter oil... over time it seem the IP doesnt hold up well to it... but i run more jet fuel and kerosine(same thing) then road diesel in mine... its been years since my M1009 has had "normal" diesel in it:driver:
someone is going to say it... search is your friend  for your starter problem, look up "doghead starter relay mod" and any wires that you wonder if they might need replaced- replace them... as far as your power strip, do you mean 12V or 24V? if 12 run your power wire into the cab from the...
It was Super thick mud with no standing water on top... they mixed it up well.. and it was about 3ft deep at the deepist point, this happened last night, and the mud still isn't dryed all the way..
(on a side note- my turbo M1009 cucv took second in open diesel class mud drags!!)
I just put my stock deuce in the local mud bogg they hold at the fairgrounds... it did exatly what i expected, it went 3/4 of the way through and stopped.. last year I did it in my old Deuce and it was the only truck to make it through. the only differance between the two was tires, my old...
