Yes. A3s have dual air packs. Both are identical. They should be the "short" style. They interchange with the older "long" style. Beware of used air packs though. Its common for them to be bad also.
I registered mine for 10,000. Believe it for not the vin came back at the DMV as a 6,000 pound truck. I know a few people in my area that registered theirs for 10,000.
Your air pac is shot. Very common problem. Pull the large air end off and if there is too much pitting to hone out easily don't bother attempting to rebuild it. Just get a new one. Also pull the rubber boot back on your master cylinder. If its dry your good. If its got brake fluid back...
Hmm I was unaware that there were that many dangers using PVC for air. We use it for high pressure pumping applications and for well casing however this is with liquid and with air/liquid combination. We also use it for setting large submersible pumps that in conjunction with line pressure it...
I beg to differ. Sch. 40 PVC is very tough and more than capable of handling impact and the desired psi. If it makes you feel better use sch. 80. I case wells to 600ft deep with 4" sch. 40 PVC pipe. Trust me its tough. Between the cab and bed it won't see much UV light. Even so it would...
There is a way to modify a standard automotive alternater into a tig/stick welder...but after seeing that ready welder I have to say for the money I would rather go that route.
Yup your air pack is toast. Don't do what I did and buy a rebuild kit before you at least pull the large end off. The large side is the air side. It has a tendency to collect water and rust up. If the pitting is too deep to hone out its time for a whole new one, don't bother trying to rebuild.
On an a2 I don't see the problem with doing this. An a3 however has a priority valve that only pops open when the air pressure reaches a certain psi. When the air pressure is below that threshold the priority valve directs air to the dual air packs. This is in case of a catastrophic loss of...
Pull the rubber boot off the MC. If there is brake fluid in the boot then your MC needs rebuilt/replaced. However the symptoms you describe mirror what my truck was doing. My air pack was totally shot so I had to buy a new one. My MC was also bad but I had a firm pedal even with the MC...
Wrong.....water well drilling rig. You wanna talk about your insurance company calling over and over asking stupid question after stupid question.
I found with my rig and deuce...it helps to have pictures...lots of pictures.
Same here. I feel like some people fear a commercial policy. I pay 600 a year for 1mil in liability and have zero restrictions on what I can do with my truck.
The biggest issue you are having is you need more weight in the rear. Your going to have to compromise on ride quality vs. damaging sidewalls from running too little air pressure. As DH stated these are high load tires and you have a very light (relatively speaking) rear end. The rear is...
I drove a bobber a while back that had mile marker selectro lock out hubs on it. It actually drove pretty nice. That being said I have never drove a bobber without lockouts. I do know a set of avm lock outs are going on my 6x6 in the near future.
The one without a bed I wouldn't pay more than 3k for it and if the junkyard deuce starts and runs maybe 2k...if not I wouldn't go much more than a grand.
If there's anywhere that builds rock crawlers near you check them out. Here local I have a place called kryptonite kustoms. They supply me all of my Rockwell axle parts. Google them and go to their website. I know for a fact they stock wheel studs. Can't tell you the price tho.
Told ya you would like jatonka's kit lol. I can't say the instant oil pressure will keep our engines running any longer than a stock set up. It sure does make me feel better tho. For nothing else changing that dang primary fuel filter makes it worth it. Actually the ease of changing them...
