I picked up 7 a3 wheels for $200 each last week. I plan on mounting some 395's on them. The guy I picked mine up from had 2 wheels left if your interested. Also there's a place here in Shreveport that can cut centers and adapter plates. Or whole new wheels if you want. Pm for details.
O and 3k for an a3. If the head gasket is the only major problem you got a pretty good deal on that truck. Assuming good condition or even decent condition.
I am not familiar at all with the 3116 cat motors so I can't offer much help there. I also didn't mean to come off as rude but you didn't give any detail as to what truck you have. M35 doesn't tell us much. There are several variations of the truck with different engines and trannys. Also I...
Your system is doable. Just look up the wiring schematic in the stickies. The one thing I would change is leave the manual kill cable. If you removed it and replaced it with a solenoid and it failed you would either have a dead truck or a running truck with no good way to kill it. If it were...
I have been strongly considering power steering in my truck. The 2 kits I have narrowed it down to is toms kit and the c and c surplus one. I like the c and c one because everything is contained in the engine bay. My concern about this kit is if that hydraulic assist motor thingy on the...
OK so I am currently replacing the seals and boots in my steer axle. I have everything removed except the inner axle seals. I'm going to knock those things out tomorrow afternoon and begin reassembly. The only thing I can't seem to get a strait answer on is what do I torque the spindle nuts...
O and I forgot to mention I will be starting Mark's (handmpaintandbody) thread on bobbing his a3 as soon as we get the darned air ride figured out. We are doing it a bit different than others so the has been a lot of trail and error.....mostly error. But soon enough we will have it riding on bags.
Thank you sir. My truck is a work in progress as is most peoples. This week 2 big things are happening. Rebuilding the steer axle. And 2 I'll be picking up a set of a3 wheels this week so I can mount some 395's. Busy busy. O and a whistler is on the list......the very long list.
No problem. And I fully agree with you on the auto parts stores. Less and less knowledgeable people work there. If their computer doesn't tell them what to do they are utterly clueless. Literally infuriating.
I can't wait to hear about how the new disk brakes perform. O and I'm glad you finally found a brake line maker. Amazing how the smallest and simplest parts can slow you down or flat out halt progress.
