please note that the post states that he only has the airflow that comes from flipping the defrost selector, and that it barely clears the window. He's getting heat, just no fan to blow it.
iirc the newest HD pump is the 4911 (its for a turbo-charged application)
that pump is the same as your pump, you may need to recalibrate the fuel settings (unless they rebuild it knowing its going in a J code engine)
there are no special parts used in the cucv pumps.
Check the fuse first, if its good then check the voltage at the fan under the hood (fan switch must be on and ignition must to in the "run" position, engine can be off)
if you have voltage then you have a bad fan motor, its not a hard job to replace. TIP: place some old blankets or padding on...
Re: RE: Swollen glow plug removal
I dont know where you heard that, but the issue is that the glow plug itself has either swollen larger than the hole in the head, or that there is carbon built up on it.
I had a stuck GP, of course it had to be on the rear passenger side (pain to get at)...
since your hacking up axles, you might have better luck looking on jeep forums, or general offroading forums.

RE: Re: RE: Freeze plug went into the block
I had the same thing happen when i put my block heater in. Was a PITA to get it out, and I was doing it in 20F weather to boot.
jwaller- do you really want to risk blowing your head gaskets or cracking the block/warping the heads because you left it...
I would call up a large diesel shop in your area, and talk to one of the mechanics. They may be able to help you further in figuring out where the debris is coming from.
you can get that socket if you go to a hummer dealership, they can order it for you. you may want to change over to the new 6 sided nuts, get them from the dealer as they are a special kind of nut.
