Sounds like Scott bought the truck while the kid was trying to decide what to do. I don't know if Scott already knew about the truck before this post or not. It's risky business to post pics of a rare truck for a cheap price. If you wait around somebody else will snatch it up.
You don't let a...
Yes, it's a actual M870. We shortened the neck to be better suited for civilian trucks.
I've got the outriggers but don't use them very much so I haven't put them back on since painting the trailer. The trailer is the same length as all other M870s I've seen.
The KW also has a 45K wrecker...
It would be ok if you catch it on balance and not go through the boom. If he had been under the boom with the forks the boom would have just slid off the forks (still not good but the forklift wouldn't have turned over). With the boom through the forks when the boom went to tip off the forks it...
Really? As far as I know, the webmasters (Chris and Mike), are not adding TMs by request at this time.
You'd be better off starting a thread asking for a TM (if it can't be found in the links posted) and maybe one of the other members will have it in PDF. I know Kenny hooked me up with a genset...
It does look like there is some sort of stabilizer bar to help with side to side movement. I still don't know why anybody would do this though. It would be just about as easy to build a sub-frame under the frame (with plenty of bracing) and attach your springs to that.
Is the $400 deal a complete winch setup or just the winch itself? Just the winch commonly sells for $400 or less. A complete setup goes for $1,000-$1500.
I've had a battery explode in my face, not fun. Luckily, the battery cable arced right before the explosion so I guess I flinched. That kept me from getting any in my eyes.
Yes, you are correct about that. At the moment I'm using the valve on the back of the trailer hooked to a hose that is hooked to a float valve in the stock tank. When winter sets in I'll do away with the hose to the float valve and just fill the stock tank when needed. I've got electricity at...
I've got a M149A2 and I'm using it to water my livestock. This is the first winter though with it in use. What I'm mainly worried about it freezing. It doesn't get super cold here but we will usually have a few days each year where the temps never get above freezing. It will never get cold...
That sealing surface is pretty rough. I'm not sure if you can find a wear sleeve that size but one would be in order if you can.
If you can't repair the surface I'd try and run corn head grease in it. I'm pretty sure that surface (even cleaned up) won't hold 90wt in.
:ditto:
We've got a old forklift that the air compressor went out on (forklift has air brakes). Cat wanted $1,200 for a new one. We mounted a York out of a old Ford pickup on it. I'm really impressed at how much air that little York puts out. I don't know what the CFM is but it will fill the...
