Pay no attention to condition codes. They are not reliable.
If you don't go check the truck out before the auction it's really a crap shoot. Even if you go check it out things can still be wrong that you don't catch because you can't drive them and sometimes they won't let you try and start...
Good point, Kenny. Guess I just go by the K.I.S.S. principle. That setup is more complicated than the whole rest of the truck. Did you see the instruction manual for it? Looked like an encyclopedia.
It doesn't take hardly any air for the bags. They have nowhere near the pressure or volume of a tire. At the most I would have added another tank.
I've done this many times on big rigs and basicly all you need is a set of bags, a ride height control valve, and a dump valve to lower the suspension.
Why in the world are they adding two electric air compressors for the suspension :???:? Also wondering how they're going to run the 12v compressors and associated electronics on 24v?
The whole air bag system is way more complicated than it needs to be IMO.
Well I buy quite a bit from GL and most of the time I get my Paid-in-full within 7 days. This last time (event 5068) it's over 3 weeks and counting :-x. Don't know what the problem is. Has anybody got their EUC back for event 5068 or is it just me?
I don't know for sure but I have a good idea. Sounds like they are seal wear sleeves. If something happens and the surface the seal rides on gets damage you can put a sleeve over the surface to renew the surface so the seal won't leak.
Are you sure the centrifuges you see on GSA will work? I'm not saying they don't sell ones that will work but the only centrifuges I've seen on GSA were for separating blood.
I can tell you didn't read the whole thread. :)
Been there, done that. The gauge is powered through a 7812. Nothing else was added and it's working fine.
If you want a truck "ready to go" I wouldn't go the GL route. I've never seen a truck from GL that didn't need some attention. I'm not saying there aren't some but I haven't seen them. I have seen some with some fairly major hidden problems though.
I don't think I'd call an attorney. A case could be made that they shouldn't take your money untill you are allowed to pick the item up but other than that this isn't GL's fault. You'd have to sue the federal Government because they are the reason it's taking so long. Even then the EUC will be...
Well my last 5 or 6 EUCs took 5 days from submission to paid-in-full invoice. I had already got the big head feeling sorry for you poor saps that have to wait for weeks or even months and thinking "I've got this EUC thing figured out".
Then hear comes my last EUC. I'm almost 3 weeks in and...
:ditto:
I made up an adaptor to hook up my Dodge to military trailers for lights. As Carnac said, they aren't as bright but bright enough IMO.
Brakes aren't as easy as lights. Unless you tow it with something that has air you're not going to have brakes.
Everything is a trade off. The higher RPM motor you get the less torque it's going to have.
To figure what size motor you need first find the gear ratio of the winch and the dia of the drum. After you have that info multiply the winch winch drum radius (1/2 the dia) with the line pull. Then...
A PS pump will work but it's going to be very, very slow. Just not enough GPM there even compared to the clutch pumps.
Aside from the hyd question, are you going to mount a 20K winch on the front of your M715?
