you mean using 12V?? make sure to move the thick main power wire off the junction block on the fire wall and move it to the first battery from the radiator.
I never had a problem with my Stock M1009 at Haspin (off road park) I would not install a locker in the front unless your keeping it off road. On hard ball steering stinks and tire and front end wear will increase. The 208 case is a tough case and light. I have had friends brake them but they...
Just get a 12V starter and slap it in. Move the main starter wire off the junction block on the firewall and move it to the first battery. I did that with my 09 and never had a problem. If you wish you can install a 24V solenoid but not really needed. Yes you can get a civy starter from any 6.2...
There really ez to fix. there is only like 5 parts in side of them. Go down to the auto parts store and grab your self a new set of hubs. (like 50-80 bucks) and go home and slap them in. Take one side apart at a time and lay out all the old parts on a rag and install the new ones. Lay it out as...
its up to you... full cover and all will set you back 500 ish to buy so your saving money. you can always add a turbo if you want. 1500 cheaper is a good thing also..... I would go for the 72 and add a turbo if you want the sound. But a N/A with a muffler is not that bad on the long trips.
Go...
umm the fuel pump is on the right side of the engine and the injection pump is under the intake. Really there guy I think the best way to figure your way around this Engine is to buy a repair book at the auto shop and just start reading it. That how I did it back in the day and now I'm master ASE.
do a search on turning the pump up.. Google and on here. there are lots or pics. and yes I turned it down it too much fuel for a 6.2 you get a little more power off the 6.5 pump due to the higher pop off pressure in the injectors. not a lot but some...
you should be ok.... really for the pain of changing it over to 12V or buying 24-12V converters its worth replacing a battery or two every couple years. Heck with you charging it when not in use it might be good to go. its not like your killing that first battery to 100% dead.
well the LHS and the PLS are the same thing.. just one more axle. So it not going to work on your 10 ton. If you want rims I bet I can get new ones but there going to be in the 700 ish range. I know the people who make them for the military.
( I drive LHS's and PLS's for the army)
the T-stat could have stuck... its a funny set up in there and if you take it out you will see what Im talking about. I would say if all seams fine now and she runs good.. your good to go. but would not be a bad idea to change the t-stat.
