:deadhorse: enough already.. put your stupid glass packs on and have fun. man were going to have to add another server to handle all the stupid posts on your truck
stock mufflers are the only thing I use now. you could try a turbo style like the thrush super turbo. Just stay away from the flowmaster type or glass pack.
Its going to be so loud your going to feel like **** after you take a good long drive. Anyone who has driven there deuce over a couple hundred miles with a "C" turbo like me (976 in one day) will know what high intensity noise will do to your body. I had dual flow masters on my M1008 and it was...
well the junction block is on the fire wall where all the main power wires go and the battery posts are on top of the batteries. take them off and clean the posts and terminals with a wire brush or a terminal cleaner ( about 99 cents) and go from there. it sounds like ether the connection was...
could be motor or switch or the plug to the switch. I see more motors go out then switches but it is 20+ years old. If it were me I would start with the motor.. can get them for 20 bucks and see where that takes you.
I just get some $50 autozone batts. Never had a problem till they were 5 years old. If you keep them charged up they should last. I would say at least in the 700 amp range you should be able to find cheap.
post some pics of the trailer and the truck and we should be able to let you know where to go from there. see whats wrong.. be kinda silly to change the trailer if the truck is wrong.. then you would not be able to tow any other trailers unless you changed out all the tow rings. ya know?
what engine did you install? A take out, rebuilt, military rebuilt? your temp should never be getting up in the 200's unless you have a radiator cover on and its a hot day. I would check the coolant level and make sure its not all dirty and filled with crap.
Don't waste your time with that little filter, it will be full of crap in a couple hundred miles. The deuce pumps a ton of fuel and most of it gets returned to the tank. Stick to the factory type filters or a large spin on. That little junker.. well just send me the 10 bucks for it and save your...
I cut mine 50% to get that new car look. but the army does it right out of the can. mix a little bit and test it out. I would say if you want it a tad thicker cut it 25% and your gun should stay happy.
well a block heater is 600 watts at 120 volts so I dont think you will get much heat out of a converter and all that jazz. if your really worried about it get your self a 99$ generator and a block heater. Be cheaper then getting a converter and batteries ect... you would just have to start the...
I would get a block heater also. Im with Dman on this one. Now I have used a spray of the boy scout juice and not had a problem. But the 6.2 really does not like the stuff. My 09 does not have a block heater yet but with the glow plug system working as it should it has started at 20* with out...
