DONT CHEAP OUT on the front end parts. you put in the cheap stuff be ready to do it over and over. there is a Huge amount of stress on the king pins and the "white box china poop" just dont cut it.

(I have over 15k miles in a deuce and drive across the country towing all sorts of crap) I had my fuel CRANKED and yeah it was ok...

no they can not be tightened, get the wheels off the ground and start looking for loose parts, also make sure your PS fluid is full and not all burnt up.

right a gasser is non turbo. there are non turbo Multis all so.

I dont know about the top speed.. the gassers have the 1 to 1 5th gear and the multi's have the over drive. both do about 56 MPH, and the multi you can crank the fuel and get them to roll even faster. well is should be a gasser and a sprag T case. All in all still a good deuce. Cons, low MPG's, less power then a multi, not a air shift T case. Pros.... Body steel seams to be a better quality back then, gasser motor is a good engine, can still get parts, dont see alot of gassers still around...

that's what I would say also is the wire to the fuel shut off or a weak fuel shut off. I had that problem with my M1008. the solenoid was shot and would cut on and off, I replaced the part (with a used one of course) and not a problem after.

yes take them to batteries plus or a store like that and them redo them. what they do is drain the fluid, add some power cleaner and wash it all out. refill and charge up.

Im sure there is. I dont have a part by part list but with the right clutch and bell housing it should work. get a chevy bell housing and you should be in the ball park for a bolt up.
