Looks like a great installation. Good placement, good mounting, great paint job! I want to mount mine on the side of the bed, but am worried about the towbar's weight overstressing the mount if I hit a pothole or go offroading in the deuce.
I dunno if a lot of them were scrapped - there is a BIG MV collector's market in Western Europe, especially with the WWII folks. I'm sure even the worst of them got parted out and saved at least in partial form...
RE: Denver St Patty
Doesn't look like a St. Patty's Day parade to me. The drivers look sober and aren't all over the road. Where's the Irish in that?

Great pics, looks like it was a fun time...
Glad you're coming along, Tracy. Please follow this thread for more up-to-date info on the rally. I already added your name to the list.

Okay, time for a bump to top, and an update.
I am awaiting the convoy map routing from L1A1 shortly, which will be forwarded out to all the people who are coming from points north, south, and east for this event (strangely, noone coming from West Virginia. Not sure why). You all should have...
Great vid, but I can hear all the regular joes out there on the street saying, "Man, that siren has been playing far too long it's hurting my ears. That has to be the slowest fire truck ever!"
The last two look real, the top one with the KC-135, I dunno, looks like a phreaky photoshop job to me. While fighter jocks do stunts like this all the time, airborne tankers aren't very maneuverable, and I think the ground-effect wind patterns would make flying that low to the ground almost...
Beth, sorry to hear you and Pete can't come to the rally. Hope he gets better real soon...
For those that have PMed me with questions, T-shirt sizes, etc. for the rally, I know, I know, I haven't gotten back with you yet. Single parenthood has really been taking a toll on my free time in...
One of the big oil execs a year back or so (Exxon I believe) in an interview on TV on one of the news programs, was talking about rising profits vs. increasing cost of oil and oil products to consumers. His response was basically this: simple supply and demand. You want the gas? You pay for...
If it's in good shape, everything works, and the body is good, yes it's an okay deal. I'm not sure if there is a ready-made kit for adding a snow plow to a deuce, but I know some have made their own if they are handy with a welder.
Have a quick question - I heard the fire extinguishers used on MVs from the 1970s up through the early 1990s were filled with Halon, which has since been banned from manufacture due to problems with it being considered a greenhouse gas. That being said, is there a way to refill these old...
I know the gama goat tires are wider, and a little taller, but your biggest concern is the wheel lug pattern. I believe the M37 has a 5-lug rim, the deuce is 6-lug. The gama goat is the same, 6-lug, but I have never heard of anyone producing an adapter to use deuce tires and rims on the M37...
