The 5 ton with the cummins in it will for sure move 20k. I have towed many 5 and 2 1/2 tons with mine and high way speed is not a problem. Now she does bog a little on the hills but not too bad. It is very livable/
RE: Re: Max towing capacity of a M35?
I think Dave is right on this one (I find myself saying that a lot). I know as a fact that the Deuce will tow way over 35k down a nice flat stretch of road, its the turning and stopping thats a problem. I have many thousands of miles towing trucks with the...
I think CR has a point there... There is a Tm that I remember that states the max speed of the NDT's is 55 mph and after 4 hours of high way speed a one hour cool down time is needed. I have the XL's and dont worry about going 65 mph for long times, but a NDT..... I dont know about that.
its was the power pack of the GMC. the engine, trans and (we dont know what tcase was used) but there was a program to use the GMC power train in the M44 deuces. I m in the process of doing this to me M35 deuce as we speak (with the help of Dave)

I think your right on the cummings.. look at the coolant hoses...... I would not let that kit go!! keep that sucker! or make sure who you sell it to is going to do the swap..... that truck would be worth big $$ if done right.
o it still can be done. I got locda56's 5 ton done a year ago with little problem. Just takes a little shove in the right areas. With enough paper work anything can be done. Just if joe blow walks in with no title or government paperwork it is almost 100% imposable to get a title. You have to...
you know guys.... here is the deal..... If we hurt someone or cause some sort of damage with our Military trucks you can bet your boots that will be the first step of the down fall of our hobby. There is already how many people wanting to stop the release of surplus items and what do you think...
mang is right, a new pump will do you wonders. It seams that the factory pump did ok to a point but you have to remember that the pumps are over twenty years old and things have dried out, worn out, pitted from water... the list goes on and on. Also a good injector cleaner could help to clean...
the g/f took the pic using the right side mirror. worked like a charm. I could have flipped the pic and no one would have known.
and the new SS album cover. And if anyones PC blows up or you go blind, blame Clinto for that pic.
