Good deal! Look forward to it...
I figured a CUCV or M880 would be a good candidate for a radio swap-in. Other MVs like the deuce, you just can't hear squat, no matter how loud a sound system you have.
Nah, the M105 trailer was in someone else's truck. We said to the guy when we were looking for our trucks in the pile, that if our deuces DID have a M105 in them , can we keep them? He said they made sure the M105s went in the beds of trucks that were bought by the same owner. Guess they at...
I have seen rusty ones as cheap as $50, good used ones as expensive as the repro new ones. Tailgates are where you find them, so just keep an eye out for a deal if you can be patient. If you need it NOW, sorry to say but you're probably going to have to get the repros.
What a day! Took me a full 24 hours just to get the energy back to post pics. Good news is three of my four trucks are home. Bad news is...
Pulled an all-nighter Sunday night so I can leave early to pick up the new trucks. Older I get, the less my alarm will wake me up so if I need to leave...
Those are the Marine Corps mounts for the elbow grease canisters. They also work on Army vehicles. They do not work on former Air Force or Navy trucks, since they do not use elbow grease, and never have. :)
They turn up from time to time on eBay, at MV rallies, and at farm auctions as well. The Forestry Service had a lot of them up until recently, they trickle out now and then.
Patience is a virtue, keep a sharp eye out in different places and one will turn up.
RE: Q for MD308
L1A1 - good deal, you can act as cook if you would like to. BTW - thanks for the help on Monday with the trucks! Hope you liked riding in an M35A2.
Adamlee - not sure how to do that. Can anyone help with that request? It would be the area between Rt. 33 west of...
I like OD Iron as well, but his shipping rates leave a little to be desired. Not so much in the rates, but in the services offered. I ordered two wiper blades and the shipping was $13.00 or so via UPS. The Post Office has a flat rate envelope that both would have fit in and cost $4.60 total...
Anyone have any pics of a side-by-side comparison of a deuce with stock 9.00x20 tires on it, versus the bigger 11.00x20 tires? If not a side-by-side, then perhaps just a couple different shots showing the comparison....
Just to let you know, the one in Feb is inside, and is mostly a parts show. The few vehicles there are ones guys drove up to buy parts. The REAL Gilbert rally is in September, lots of vehicles and displays, all outside under the blue sky....
