A look at the parts tm to identify the item you're referring to, then a google search of the NSN, should get all the info you need. For the best result, use the "nsn# and parttarget" in the search.

Drill the holes in the piece that you are removing. You can get them welded later id you wanted to.

Have you verified the temp on the gauge with an IR gun or by some other means? Accuracy is not as important and monitoring it and knowing if it is overheating(over 200F). Some trucks run cooler than others. 180 is just fine.

It should not take 45 min to find anything in the parts tms. Use the table of contents in the front of the TM.

Who's changing an engine? Perhaps the first(official)post could include the basics? Is this a planned "event" for the rally? Is this a training/demonstration? Are spectators invited to help? Is this just something a few guys have already planned? Who's bringing the TMs? And who can read them?
