The use of the word "mechanic" or "knowledgeable mechanic" in place of "Obiwan Kenobi" might actually get more people to read your thread and help you.
The controller activates the GP relay by switching/providing a ground. Power is supplied to the relay when the key is on.
So to simplify that and answer your question another way is, yes you had power, but you did not have a ground(complete circuit).
Pull your controller card, inspect and...
It is a 12 volt alt.
If you measure the voltage at the negative and positive studs on the rear of it, you will get the output voltage(12-14V).
Both alts are identical. The drivers side is grounded with a wire. The passenger side is not grounded to the chassis(it is grounded to the rear...
If your vent is plugged, it will cause leakage.
Many times simply cleaning the vents stops the leakage and the seal does not need to be replaced.
Depending on how bad it has been leaking, you may or may not need to disassemble and clean everything.
If you have never serviced/cleaned your...
Also, if you simply browse through a parts TM(ends with P), you can see the location of the GP controller card. And Identify the cards you questioned in your vid.
They are for the diagnostics port, for the STE/ICE.
Your 2 12 volt batteries are connected in series to get 24 volts.
Each battery is charged by it's own 12 volt alternator. The only way this can work is with the second alternator having an "isolated ground" so they can be connected in series(by the batteries).
Each alt simply charges 1...
First off. that is not your glow plug controller card.
The bottom relay terminal has continuity to ground because at least one GP has resistance.
You said intermittent power on the blue wire, is that when it is connected to the relay? It should have power(coming thought the relay coil) when...
