    Cold start hand pump question

Actually, if the gauge is always reading, it probably is not allowing the fuel to exit. We just discussed these pumps recently. This thread will explain most of what you'll need to know. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/5-ton-up/97693-m818-sucking-air.html Search for more...

Wellman, wellman. Details are important. We have covered this hundreds of times. Asking a forum for opinions will never be decisive. But, you can make your own decisions based on the hundreds of threads we've already [posted on this topic. I disagree with your shop's advice. I'd...

Looks like a nice clean hole. What caliber is that? I was thinking of buying a new mag drill, maybe I just need a bigger scope?

    Exhaust j-pipe installation problem

Where did you get that pipe? I've not seen any that look like it. It looks like a poorly/cheaply made replica.

FIXED - stuck on side of hwy..cannot replace water pump belt

Glad to hear you'll have time to fix it right. I would not want to be around if you had to ask your mom to borrow some pantyhose for the ride home! If you ever loose a belt down in Alabama, I heard Wreckerman wears them.

    m35a2 with a few problems...

I'd start by checking the temperature with an IR gun. They are inexpensive and handy a heck. If you read the block temp and the radiator temp, you can determine actually temp and if the Tstat is stuck. I've seen several gauges that read differently/incorrectly. I also use mine to check...

    Tranny refill

Unfortunately, the OP has started a second thread on this issue and conversation has moved to that thread. Posting here is a waste of your time. This is why we continue threads. It's about efficiency, politeness, and common sense.

    Air Pack nomenclature question

I would not be too worried about using a pipe bushing. Or, you could go one size large and use a pipe plug, then convert to an air operated switch. It would be simple to just change out the end, if you can find one close by. I'm not sure who all is in your area.
