    LMTV Shipping

Missing dash fuses and breakers are the result, not the cause. They were likely removed because something bad is happening. The underlying badness remains, and will re-manifest itself when you replace the breakers and fuses. (I suggest having a fire extinguisher present, as well as a way to...

How do I separate two piece wheels

I wonder if someone used something besides an o-ring to connect the two halves and that is the difficulty.

    FYI: Wheels and tires

Thanks for the PSA. Like many people, I didn't take it seriously either - " good enough is good enough" . Um, no. In my case I broke wheel studs on a 5ton. Now I know better, from personal experience. Let's hope others learn from our mistakes and avoid the personal experience themselves.

Low air alarm just started working?

On the 939series trucks some tape over the buzzer works wonders. You may want to check legality. In some jurisdictions disabling it or operating the truck after it has been disabled is illegal. YMMV.

    Tire/wheel options for M105a2

I wouldn't do it. The M105A2 goes fairly well behind a 1ton pickup, but even with a lift and an altered hitch it still isn't quite level. I have a jeep. 3:73s and the heavy tow package. I wouldn't consider it as the primary tow vehicle for an M105. An M101, sure, or an M1101 no problem ...

    Up and running again!!

Charging in the yellow is more likely "not charging at all, but has fully charged batteries" In any event, I'm glad to see you got it going again.

Best guesses at a restored m1009's value in 2018 and beyond

I'm not quite the purist you make me out to be. I like a lifted truck and big tires for instance. When I mod one, I try to make the mods bolt-on and reversible. Or if I'm doing something rather extreme, I'll start by working with one that isn't a particularly rare variant, or isn't a pristine...

Best guesses at a restored m1009's value in 2018 and beyond

One man's "quality customization" is another man's "booger welded hack job". The trend repeats itself over and over again in various hobbies. Something exists in reasonable quantity and price is extremely low compared to what you get. The vast majority of whatever it is get modified. When...

Outside duals never go flat, and never blow. It's mandated that only the inner ones fail. Edit - if one did fail, this is what it might look like :

Best guesses at a restored m1009's value in 2018 and beyond

Worst case, your mods reduced value by exactly the cost to restore it to original. Realistically, the dash mod reduced it by half that amount. The GP mod is probably a nonissue for most people, assuming it works ok. That CUCV is probably the nicest one I've seen.

I carry two Jacks and cribbing. One jack rarely has all the travel needed to go from as low as you'll need to start removing the flat one, to as high as you'll need to be to place the fully inflated tire.
