I did my first piece of idiocy today. I ran the redtruck out of fuel in the middle of nowhere.
I considered driving the hmmwv to go get some, but in the end I decided to just rob from the tank. I removed the nut from the bolt that goes through the rubber plug. That was insufficient to let fuel...
His bolt on MRAP adapters were to take a 10lug MRAP rim and make it compatible with a 6lug deuce hub.
Either way, as of a few days ago he told me he is no longer making wheel adapters.
So today, the new owner, me, the truck, and the new airpack were all in the same place at the same time.
It took about two hours to swap out the airpack at a very leisurely and careful pace.
The new owner has been working his way through the lube order, and has added a battery cut off...
I'm no help in recovery, but the current timeline for SF97s is well beyond 30 days...

Or just get some electric space heaters to add load during winter outages.... this serves 2 purposes - it brings the genset up to optimal load, and it'll cut down your gas bill too...
I plan to be there 27 October. I can pick it up and drop it off at the freight terminal of your choice, or Fastenal.
If this works for you, PM me and we'll make arrangements.
Thanks
This is a fuel supply issue, as stated above. The probable causes, in descending likeliness:
1) pinholes in the rubber lines. You'll never find them. Replace them all.
2) someone tampered with the manual prime and left it extended.
3) fuel filter is clogged.
So I bought a $50 set of lockers at GL auction.
The terms are that an approved rigger must be used for load out. They have a list of rwo approved riggers. You may not do it yourself.
The rigger fees are not available until after you have won the auction.
They want $700.
Obviously I'm...
You'd be surprised what they consider a road. I had one pull me over and want to see plates for my 5ton. (Had them with me, just not on it).
I thought I was miles from roads..
Having an emergency braking system is far better than no brakes at all.
I wholeheartedly agree. Set them up as part of the park brake system perhaps. Then if the primary brakes fail, pulling the park brake lever becomes an option.
I'd like to see it done once at 50mph as proof of concept.
Some trucks for comparison -
Note that trucks most similar in cost are all of the heavier variant, and have 6.5 engines and overdrive transmission.
I limited myself to the ones with low odometer readings, although I don't believe the odometer reading on any of them...
I is important...
Red flags for me -
1) sellers that emphasize the odometer reading on military vehicles. They're either clueless themselves or engaged in deception. (The odometers on these vehicles get changed as often as you change underwear).
2)title status. This is almost certainly a GP auction truck that...
