The same wheels and tires were also OEM on early 939a0 trucks. I saw some go recently at auction with the NDTs still in place and no ABS. I'm willing to bet this is one of those trucks.

My guess says no. The 939series trucks came originally with 11r20 NDTs. Does your dash have the ABS light?

I don't, but DocPA had some. Check with him. Transport (slow, and not soon, but cheap) may be an option...

16's are still in use and should be more readily available than the 14's. The other good choice is 395's. JMHO

Your aversion to propane applies even more to gasoline. Consider a diesel genset instead. Personally, I'd go the truck tractor + semi trailer as the living portion.

I speculate that it could be done without undue stress to the lengthened tongue. This isn't like trying to raise or lower... However, I'd bet you could get the same result cheaper and better by just going to an M105A2, which is already longer...

A fresh rebuild will also blow by until the rings fully seat.... so blow by isn't definitive....

In the automatics you can force a downshift, but not an upshift. The truck pictured has a Spicer 5spd, however.
