Yeah, I'm just about ready to give up any attempt to post pics to this site. I did absolutely nothing differently between the fist post where the pics are correctly oriented, and the follow up post where the *expletive deleted* things are upside down.
These bumpers aren't as heavy as you'd think. Listed weight is something like 159lbs, before modification. Modification includes lopping off 18 inches and adding some 4" channel to bolt to the trucks frame.
It's still a work in progress. I'll update with more pics once I have it completed.
The raised adapters for the pintle hitches increase the leverage on the truck's hitch. This places twisting forces on the mounts.
Depending on your hitch rating and how heavily you load the m1101 this may or may not be an issue for you. It's still worth consideration.
I think the point isn't "you can't possibly make it happen"...
I think the point is "when you make it happen, you've breached a contract you made when you bought the vehicle and we don't want that discussed here"
Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
Bottom switch first, then top.
Opposite for starting. Top switch first then bottom.
Think of it this way - supply power to the system, then start the motor. Shut off the motor, then power down the system.
Here's my take on these trucks, and this is just my perceptions and opinions.
These things are happy being driven at about 45mph. At that speed, you have comfortable safety margins in pretty much all aspects. They aren't trying to beat you to death, and stopping distances are reasonable...
