I have no doubt the government will mandate the technology as a safety measure.... with draconian penalties for disabling it. You won't have much of a choice....
I can tell you the answer to what a load will do -
I drove an M934 from Nellis AFB to Phoenix, with another 5ton behind it on towbars.
Uphill, with foot on the floor, was single digits.
Level ground would cruise at 60ish no problem.
Braking, even downhill, was no problem (I had airlines...
Why not take the trailer side of a flat 4 pin connector, seperate the 4 wires, connect each of the 4 wires to the corresponding pin on the M1101's connector?
Now you have a flat 4 that'll plug into your civvy truck. The M1101 remains intact. The connection between the stranded 4 wires and the...
My thoughts exactly - I have a valid plate and I don't want to risk any changes. I figure $50 a year is actually ridiculously cheap.I do thank you for the document though, as I have other vehicles to register and will carry that in with me when I do so.
CB, I know you're correct as far as the law goes, but they stuck me with an 8000lb weight fee along with my historic plate.
When I pointed out that there was supposed to be zero weight on historic plates they said 8000lb was as low as they could go. When i pointed out the truck's weight empty...
CARNAC is always a pleasure to deal with, Always goes above and beyond expectations, and is generally a great guy.
My most recent interactions include two late night drop offs and a pick up over the past weekend , with Carnac accomodating and facilitating scheduling. There's nothing quite like...
I had some really good bbq in ft worth Dec 2014. I can't remember the name, but I'll remember it later and add it...I'd almost drive back there just for the bbq.
If you drive it and break down I'll come get you and towbar it to my place where you and I will fix whatever disabled it, or to your place if it's a big fix. I'm in Tucson just off I 10.
Cost - actual fuel costs and something to eat.

No argument, if they did in fact drain the fluids they most likely did so in the most destructive manner possible - punching holes and cutting things.
They're also notorious for forklifting trucks and tearing up all kinds of stuff in the process.
Given that OP has zero experience with these particular trucks, and no means of towing it himself.
Presume that OP isn't enthusiastic about dropping a bunch of money to transport it. In that position here's how I'd do it:
1) rent an rv storage slot at the nearest storage place - costs $35-75...
When putting bigger tires on the rear of duallys, spacers are frequently used. I've seen enough pictures (on cumminsforum.com) of shattered aluminum spacers to convince me to shell out the extra cash for steel, and to try to avoid spacers in general as much as is practical.
I sold a bunch of these and looked that data up once upon a time. I want to say between 4 and 5 gpm and something like 1500psi. If someone doesn't chime in with specifics sooner I'll find the link and add it monday. .
Edit- "requiring 4gpm @1500psi" per the milemarker website.
