it took me TWO years to find mine, when i did ,thay had a new date of o4, how lucky can you get. really BFR found them and turned me on to them. i paid $2000 for 14 1200x20s, not a bad price at all

dave, what size tire is on the 819 now, i still like the look of the mil. tread of the 1200s, also take a real good look at the studs that hold the spare on, i had two break off when i pulled the spare, thay both showed signs of a old crack, scary thought of the spare comming off and going down...

i got my new spare control box off ebay,

we would put a 8x8 or so on top of the boom hoist cylinder, then set the boom down on it, this kept the boom from leaking down and the hook from getting into the lowbed goose neck, really had no problem of side to side motion. the tm does not call for boom supports when pulling a trailer...

dave, on the crane cab side of the boom there is a metal loop, this is there to hang the hook when towing a trailer, its a pita to get the hook to the loop and more of one to get the hook off the loop. in nam we pulled lowbeds with our 246s so no need to hang the hook. boom supports are not...

it just seems to me that by having the pto and pump running full time thats just more parts to wear out or break, ect. also if a hose or fitting springs a leak, there is hyd.oil EVERYWHERE

should not be to hard to wire up an adaptor, you dont need the black out brake lights. only turn signels or running lights, that should leave you only needing seven wires or less

i think id rather have a fold down goose neck, would give me more useable deck space, easier to drag dead stuff onborad, we use both types in the oil field, each has there uses , the 870a3 looks nice but a fold down would work better for tha 819. having one of each also would be nice, if that...

it arrived in ga. last sept, had not had time to do much, working in la. and only getting home every so often does not leave much MV time :cry:, still trying to deal with 819 fuel problems , it sucks working away from home

looks like the standard wrecker, bridge truck work light, you can find them on ebay, a lot of dealers have them, try john winslow, or jim henry

the frame on the 819 is a triple frame, i think my 819 is easer to get on to and operate then the 543s and the 816s though i dont have any of the rear controls. if im soldier A as well soldier B there is a lot of up and down. i put ruts that are still there in my mother in laws drive way right...
