pull the turbo, if it is wet on the motor side the oil is comming from the motor but if is dry there and wet on the exhaust side , its the turbo. if it is the turbo be real carefull running because as i said you can suck the motor oil real quick
there should be two tubes to the turbo, one with oil under pressure and the other one is the drain back, if the turbo is puking oil out the exhaust the exhaust seal is bad, if the air intake side seal is bad ,it will suck motor oil and burn it as fuel, either way you can suck motor oil out at...
the problem i found when i was going to change the trans when i had the xcase out was front drive shaft clearance with other trans, there is not much space between the drive shaft and the stock trans. i wanted to put a od. 8 or 10 speed in. all the fuller and spicer specs showed the trans being...

i have my 819 with hagerty as a wrecker/tractor, i sent them pics. and all was cool. DONT call it a crane, its a wrecker/tractor, the word crane SCARES insurance companies
as a side note, the 108 was built as a bomb handling truck, but found use as a light wrecker, so a military mind with a higher pay grade then myself came up with the m60 with the thought that it would make a GREAT light to medium wrecker, only after production which was a gasser did the great...
i put two 8D batteries in my 819, turns the 250 over real nice, new blems cost me $60 each, the last pair lasted me 4 years, i had one go bad in oct., so replaced both.
i figured that 8Ds are in most cat equipment thay ought to work fine in the 819, and are a lot cheaper then the mil. batteries...
i always thought lite blue smoke was oil, like from a turbo , bad rings ect,, lite white smoke was unburned fuel ,like from a cold motor, dead turbo, ect., black smoke was to much fuel, like with the pedal down but have not reached full rpm where the fuel will be used at it max, or the motor...
