Rich - glad it’s running. I recommend you consider mechanical oil pressure and water temperature gauges to eliminate any possibility of error. And yes I agree that the thermostat is not opening. Is it possible that it got installed backwards?
I have purchased a non-running M1009 in Nebraska and need it transported to Kentucky. The M1009 is complete and in good shape but without engine, so the weight should be around 4500 lbs. All tires are good and tight. Cash in hand. Thanks.

What do you think about getting some hard brass fittings and pipe from Ace Hardware to extend the valley port rearward to terminate at the back of the valley? That’s what I used on the front turbo port of my P400 to pressurize the Spinner centrifugal oil filter.
