Is that low coolant circuit (idiot light) really necessary if a cab water temperature gauge is installed? Like yourself I plan on multiple radios in the future and would like to eliminate all RF noise.
Thanks for the discovery.
Guys, please excuse me for being so dumb, but what is wrong with sourcing a Level 2 K-case 700R4 from Bowtie Overdrives for $1650.00? This unit is rated to handle 450 HP and 450 FPT. It is the exact unit that I have bolted behind my P400 engine going into my M1028...
Yeah that black RTV has it stuck. Try a thin putty knife to get it started. I believe once it starts coming loose it will be easy from then on. I wouldn't put heat on it.
Hope this helps.
I purchased a Level 2 K-case 700R4 with special output shaft from Bowtie for just under $2500 including crating and freight from California to Kentucky. Is this more than you want to spend?
I’ve often wondered how much horsepower is required for a fully engaged fan clutch. I’m certain engine horsepower is lost during full clutch engagement because the “pull” on the engine can be felt when the clutch engages, especially going uphill. I’m toying around with leaving off the entire fan...

I still think his problem is a stopped-up turbo encabulator. I had a similar power issue until I cleaned mine out. Now my truck runs like a scalded dog.
I need to move a rolling, non-running M1009 from Wahoo, Nebraska to Paris, Kentucky. Truck is clean and in a driveway in a residential neighbrhood. Wahoo is 30 miles north of Lincoln, NE and I-80. Paris is 18 miles north of Lexington, KY and I-64/I-75. Truck is missing motor so the weight...
Eddie & Gimp - Thanks for your replies. The whole reason for considering a pre-oiler pump is to add as much protection as possible to my P400 engine build. Everything I have read indicates that the majority of wear in an engine occurs at start-up before the bearing surfaces are flooded with...
Hey Rick - thanks for the reply. The reason I was asking about a check valve is because I am considering installing an aircraft pre-oiler pump to flood the bearing surfaces with engine oil prior to cranking. I have sourced the pre-oiler pump and worked out how to suck engine oil from the oil...
