New project bought not running, PO has done a lot of work to the truck and it was running. It’s had the dog head relay done.
Symptom’s include, brand new batteries I installed.
No crank, it has 24v to the red wire on starter relay key off and the purple/white does have 12v when in the “start”...
Yes, I’ve searched the site, and did look through my TM.
I have had the truck for several months and it didn’t do it at first but has gotten progressively worse. Started to stay running for 10 seconds then 30 then maybe a minute to shut off. Now stays running until I pinch the fuel return...

I've got a gremlin somewhere. New headlight switch, new brake light switch, all fuses checked replaced, all bulbs checked replaced, 2 new flashers. Drivers side rear taillight ground checked and cleaned, and the rear light harness ground checked and cleaned.
Problem: When the service light...
Hi all, just finished this blazer and it has the new BFG's 33/12.50/15 All Terrain KO-2 tires. Just thought you may want to see what they look like on a M1009. I've had the truck out on the road and they ride great... very quite and it feels like the sidewall is stiffer than the old style and...
Doghead relay...2 purple wires? ...now hard starting
Doing the starter relay mod as I've done many times but this time no purple/white stripe wire to tell the 12v with the on. I tried to test both wires but neither one reads 12v with the key on. I did cut the wire harness apart to try and fine...
Just finished this M1008 and used the new BFG's All Terrain KO2's 285/75/16. I was very happy with the look and ride of the new model of BFG's. They ride very smooth and quiet. Just thought I'd share my opinion on the tires in case anyone was looking.

What do you guys think of this color combo? I know its not stock, but its kinda like jeep feel with the tan interior green exterior. Would it be better with a black dash and dash pad and tan seats? Or how about dash, door panels ect black and just the seats tan? :D

I've done many of the 383 green and burgundy combinations and they are ok, but lately I have wanted to try something different. The last truck I did in the 686 tan I put a tan matching interior in and it was big hit. But I have a new combination in mind...how about the 383 green with the tan...
Ok, I am rather tired of doing the same ole thing on every build...ie the burgundy interior on cucv's. So what's your take on a brown/tan interior and either the OD green outside or the NATO 383 green exterior on my next M1009?

Weird starting problem with my M1008. It only happens after the truck sits for a week or so without running. A side note.. (the high idle solenoid is not hooked up and neither is it working correctly as it sticks open when the green wire is conected) What happens is the truck takes a very long...
The M1008 has all new GP system/plugs/card/switch,starter relay upgrade ect... and the batteries are 6mos old group 31 Exide made in 2012.
Previously the volt meter has always been dead on the hash mark and Gen lights work correctly.
The truck has been sitting for a few months with weekly...
I have a friend who is in dire need of expert help tracking down a electric problem with his M1009 CUCV. It keeps blowing the 20 amp GP fuse in the fuse block (I am told). They have VERY limited knowledge and just want to take the truck to someone and get it fixed.
Please PM me any info...
