I agree. I am going with the 331 hemi. The motor mounts don’t scare me at all but getting the adapter from the motor to the trans does. That is the missing piece right now.
Call Idaho motor pool they have a metal one there that I put on my m37 the back fit perfect but the top was short. I could have saved myself $600 if I would have just bought it and modified it.
Turns out the motor in my M37 I just bought might be garbage. The silver lining is I have a 331 hemi and aces to a 5.7. I have herd the 331 hemi “just bolts right up” but I have not seen it done or seen a parts list. I would really appreciate the help or any other ideas.
ps this is my first...
I sold my five ton a little while ago but if it is alright I would love to take some measurements off of you deuces. I am working on a bolt in roll cage and bolt in engine kit for a big block gas engine.
I am looking for an m35 and I was also wondering if I could come take a look at one of your m35s to take some measurements for a custom tube cab and custom tube bumpers. I am also trying to fabricate a bolt on engine cage for a chev 454ci. I would really appreciate it.
Yesterday I made the choice that my 454ci and turbo 400 are going in my duce. I don’t know if this will work and I’m pretty sure I am writing off the transmission right now, but it was free and out of a motor home so the only thing I will be wasting is my time. So here are my questions.
I...
I did the same thing yesterday and I called boyce equipment and they said it was a plug that was for fording water. boyce can hook u up with on for $25.00
this is the easy way! just drop a second 12v alternator on the truck and run a seprate system. Let the 24v run the truck and the 12v run your lights stero, popcorn maker and winch.
I have decided I want my truck to go faster. Has anybody herd of somebody bobbing one of these trucks and then running a 454ci motor backed with a turbo 400 and a transfer case? I would like to drive my truck every day but I need it to be a little more driver friendly. I was also thinking of...
I do not want to buy any more parts from boyce equipment or eastern military surplus. does any body know of another place that does not charge an arm and a leg for such parts as a left door handle or temp gauge. is it possible to find a temp gauge at napa or autozne that would work?
I do not tow with my truck it is just for show and driving around town. The truck is a mulit fuel. I am just looking for a little more pull when i am at a stop light and on hills. Unless you guys have any other ideas on how to get more power or speed.?
mine can hit 55 on a flat road but i am lacking power too. im turning my fuel pump up this week. a guy i know runs 1600s and says he can do 70mph all day. I will turn mine up and tell u how it goes.
