don't get me wrong though- those hobby type welders are great(except when people who don't know anything about them have them:roll:) they are usually more than most need, and do the job very well i've used both miller and lincolns smaller welders and they have never disappointed me, and i've...

i personally try to stay away from hobby type welders... but that's probably just because i like high duty cycles and on the spool gun/aluminum discussion- i'd rather just have a stick/tig machine and tig anything that wasn't mild just my 2cents i guess
