    2014 Findlay Ohio buy/sell/trade thread

Yep, that's me. Dropping them down to a buddy this weekend to see if we can recenter them to work on an M114.

    2014 Findlay Ohio buy/sell/trade thread

Danger danger warning danger. State troopers are set up at the entrance to the fair grounds doing dot inspections. Make sure you are right and tight so that this jerky move does not make them any money.

    2014 Findlay Ohio buy/sell/trade thread

Stagg and I ran over this afternoon and shoveled a few things into MWMULES trailer since we are hitching a ride out with him. We have 2 deuce hard tops both currently tan and in need of new paint as well as the usual stomping out of dents your choice $300 each We culled our absurd gauge...

Changing caster angle solved problems with G-177 tires

Just quick follow up on how mine worked out in the end. I altered my front end by adding in 1/4 of shim on the back of the spring perch to get just a tad more caster, I measured it as a total caster of 4 degrees. I can report now several years down the road that it worked like a charm...

    Operation East Wind 7 March 8-16 2014

Related to this, we do some training events leading up to each East Wind. On Jan 4-5 we're teaching a tactical communication course that would likely be of some interest to you guys since we generally teach off of PRC-77s and VRC-12 systems. Here's the announcement for the course off of the...

    M66 ring mount reference pictures

When I started putting together the parts and such for my M66 ring mount I was somewhat frustrated by the lack of useful pictures on the web but managed to muddle through the process. Dave T is putting a ring on another truck and just encountered the same issue trying to figure out what goes...

    Operation East Wind 7 March 8-16 2014

Sure thing man! Obviously, there is a lot of cross pollination of hobbies involved out there at East Wind, it is not for everyone but it is at least usually interesting for everyone to look at.

    Operation East Wind 7 March 8-16 2014

This is probably not going to be anyone's thing around here but I figured it would be fun to post this up just so that when you guys hear us talking about East Wind in other threads you have some idea what we are talking about and don't just assume that we are into some sort of trans-gender...

    Operation East Wind 7 March 8-16 2014

A US soldier takes a moment to brush his teeth after a mission. You're out there for 9 days... That means eating, sleeping, pooping, washing and shaving in a combat environment. A Soviet soldier looks out into the failing light of the day from the ruined building his section holds. He...

    Operation East Wind 7 March 8-16 2014

Pictures speak a thousand words so here are a few photos from past East Wind events to give you guys an idea what we do out at East Wind. UK Infantry moves out with a FV-701 Ferret armored car on patrol. One US squad holds a key intersection they will be passing through, another US squad...

Anyone mounted an A&K (airsoft) M60 on an M142 cradle?

Perfect, I would be looking for a post Vietnam one anyhow since East Wind is set in the late Cold War. Are there any pics of his mods to the front out there or is it so obvious as to not need one?

Anyone mounted an A&K (airsoft) M60 on an M142 cradle?

Anyone? Figured this would be as good a place to check as any since these things are a fraction the cost of a normal dummy gun.

Need new fuel pump for M151A2

I got sick of dealing with the same issue on my M151A1 and adapted a rotary fuel pump to it. The one I used was a Carter brand part number P4603hd from NAPA. It's a bit noisy but since it doesn't have rubber parts for the ethanol to eat, it's been a winner. No more loosing prime, no more...

    A 300 mile drive?

If you happen to have a deuce, I can tell you with some certainty that an M151 rides easy as can be in the bed of a deuce. I've piggy backed my M151 this way many times. All you need to do is go scout out a spot that can pass as a loading dock somewhere on either end of the trip. On the...

    A 300 mile drive?

I will break with tradition here. I am just getting my M151 to the mechanical state I generally keep all my vehicles in (I maintain to a very high standard). I have driven mine a good bit on the road now and I would not hesitate one bit to take mine on a 300 mile trip. In fact, I plan to...

    1/4 turn top snaps

I had to rummage around on Ebay looking to get mine since all I could find locally or elsewhere on the internet were chrome ones. They also go by "common sense" fasteners...

    Possible Rim Alternative

is the offset any different? I am curious because Deuce rims also fit a BTR-152 but the deep offset causes them to hit the air brake actuator. A more mid offset wheel would actually work MUCH better and still allow us to fit 20 inch tires instead of goofy 18 inch ones imported from Molvania.
