many WWII trucks with hard tops had ring mounts. look up some photo's you will see a revers flange around the hard top opening to allow a canvas cover be tied over the opening in the hard top when the ring was not in use. Ed.
Buy that military truck ! Those guy's are spoiled ! I don't use any air tools, cutting torch, or welder. Simple hand tools, a strong arm, and patience are required. You would not come out too bad financialy if you got tired of it and had to resell it ! Most important when you buy your truck...
here in michigan no CDL is needed if not used for commercial use regardless of weight. but use is severly restricted to transport of personal posessions and family members only.
