THAT explains the problem I had the other day!!! Thanks for the info!!!!

    Bleeder screw, Deuce air pack

The one I have is serviceable. I just figured that while I was rebuilding the unit and going to so much trouble that I'd replace the valve. You know how easily they strip the nut when removing them after they've been tight for a while! I haven't been to a "real" parts place yet. Advance Auto...

    Bleeder screw, Deuce air pack

Hi folks! Merry Christmas!! By any chance, have any of you ever replaced the actual bleeder screw on an M35A1 hydraulic air pack? Know where I might find an exact replacement?? The silly TM doesn't show that bleeder as a replaceable part, although the bleeder for the wheel cylinder IS...

    Multifuel Injection Pump Leaking

Nathan, Sorry bud, I don't have any advice for you. But I just started seeing the same thing on my IP yesterday. I won't go into any details on my issue, since I haven't had time to deal with it yet. (I'm still fighting with a brake system disaster and don't have the emotional energy to tackle...

    MY Airpack Rebuild with Photos!

How did you get the piston gasket bearing thingy (I don't have the paperwork in front of me right now) - see post #3 herein - out/off without damaging it? Mine is in the body pretty firmly. And I'm not in the mood to damage it.

    Good master cyl. rebuild kit?

Okay, I'm a dummy. I'm rebuilding the master cylinder and now I can't remember how the durn plunger assembly goes back in!! What is the order of assembly? The silly TM just expects that the whole unit will be replaced. Sheesh. Anyone got a quick diagram - or photo - of the parts in the order...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Removed both seats - and bases - from the cab. Getting them ready for a new coat of paint. And getting ready for new canvas covers that my dear wife is going to make for me! Note: Don't leave the foam cushion laying in the chair where the dog can get hold of it. 0_0

How do you remove the back cushion on the passenger side??

Good plan! But when she finds out about the air-ride seats I ordered, she'll be mad about spending the money!! aua :-P

How do you remove the back cushion on the passenger side??

Good plan. It's got pretty good foam now, but another layer would be good. But then, my wife is supportive of this little hobby, but not very excited about it!

How do you remove the back cushion on the passenger side??

Well, THAT was easy!! If I hadn't asked, I'd have probably done something stupid and destroyed the whole thing. Now... just waiting on new canvas to arrive so my wife can sew new cushion covers. Thanks for the quick reply!!!!

How do you remove the back cushion on the passenger side??

Before I break out the chain saw, how do you get the back cushion off the back plate on the passenger side bench in a deuce?? It looks like it should either slide up off a keyhole, or snap into something welded on the back plate. But I'm sure not seeing it. And I'd rather get it off in one...

Va Rally at Graves Mountain (Labor Day Weekend) 2013

I'll be there! I guess I should put that weekend on my "permanent" calendar every year, eh?

BFR Metals, Salina Kansas, a Goodie Hole

I know I should read all of the post, but I figured I'd cheat here. Who (if anyone) might be passing near Glen on their way east to, through, or near Virginia? Anyone? Anyone? I just want to get a couple of seats back here.

BFR Metals, Salina Kansas, a Goodie Hole

Hey! How much for an air ride seat (the ones shown in post #565)?

Spray-on bedliner used to paint a MV?

I have to admit, that tan and black paint scheme looks GREAT! I'll have to consider redoing the bottom portion of my M109A3 like that. It's currently done in the "standard" three color scheme. I had a good friend who owns a Line-X franchise and did the inside of my cab for free. (Once in a...

Wreckerman and son go to Tank Town USA

Looks like a great time to me! Reminds me of the "incident" that occured in my NV Nat'l Guard unit a few months before I joined. We had just been issued the new-fangled horseless carriages and... no, wait, wrong story. The Guard unit in southern NV (Henderson, Las Vegas area) is a combat tank...

"Limited Slip" differential possible on a deuce?

Interesting. I'll have to put that on my list of additions for next year. It would sure make a huge difference when going offroad! Thanks for the info, guys!

"Limited Slip" differential possible on a deuce?

Just doing some brainstorming after watching a bunch of vids from past SS Rallys. Is there a way to "lock" the axles on a deuce to create a "positraction" or limited slip axle? I educated myself on locking/lockout hubs - I thought that was their function. Nope. A great idea for highway driving...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Replaced a dead wheel cylinder in preparation for bringing the M109A3 home. I sold it to an acquaintance a couple of years ago and was lucky enough to return to the area and buy it back. Unfortunately they didn't do a lick of maintenance on it. I'm surprised they didn't get killed going over the...

Built a LIGHTBAR for the M109

That is a great mod job going on!! When you get a chance, I'd love to see some details of what you did to mount that AC unit, especially the outside guard assembly. I've got a similar AC unit installed in mine, but haven't done anything on the outside yet.
