    In-tank Parker pump blowing fuses

I found some time to look at this further. It appears the black wire that powers the pump shorts to ground if you move it just a little. As you see in the photo, the mesh wire is broken were it bends to go into the tank. Anyone know if that black wire can be repaired of if that wire even...

    In-tank Parker pump blowing fuses

I recently performed fuel filter replacements on all my fuel filters. After changing them the truck would not start. I found the lift pump fuse blown. I replaced the fuse and it blew again. I took the pump out of the tank to troubleshoot. I submerged the pump in a bucket of diesel and...

    Air Pack rebuild Leftover Part

So the small end of it goes into the springs and then the plug last?

    Airpak rebuild

It is item 16, the oring between the halves.

    Airpak rebuild

I am just about done with the rebuild but nobody seems to know anything about the oring between the two big piston halves. It looks beveled. The kit did not come with it either.

    Airpak rebuild

I ordered and received my rebuild kit. I am starting to disassemble now. So far I see nothing out of the ordinary. What normally goes wrong with these airpaks? A particular oring? All I know is brake fluid is blasting out the firewall vent line and the PS article said it was a symptom of airpak...

    Airpak rebuild

Hi all. I'm rebuilding my airpack and noticed teflon tape on the threads of all the non-compression fittings. Is that the best idea or should I use a liquid thread sealant?

I am confused. The one on the right is my Deuce.

    Heater hoses

The article I posted is the same one you mentioned. "Multifuel 2.5 ton". It is for Deuce. Where did you see HMMWV?

    Heater hoses

I am trying to validate my heater hoses against the PS article below. Is my top hose where it should be? I can't really tell from the quality of the picture.

10W Non-detergent oil as lubricant in the fuel

Anyone have any thoughts on using "non-detergent" 10W new motor oil instead of 2-cycle for the added lubrication to diesel fuel in the Deuce? The reason I ask it that a local store has the 10W and 20W for less than 2-cycle oil and diesel fuel for that matter. Serious sale I guess. (e.g...

    Low air buzzer

When it gets warm beyond the possibility of ice I will see if it goes off. I drain tanks after driving.

    Low air buzzer

Went out to see how the Deuce would start in our first cold weather here in the south this morning. Started perfect with a few more turns than usual but 3-5 seconds total with no assistantance. I went back inside to let it warm up and when I came back out air pressure was normal but low air...

Trying to find a thread I read earlier about Deuce build

I found what I was looking for. It was Bonedoc's M35A2 build thread that had all the photos of the colored lines. Thanks all.

Trying to find a thread I read earlier about Deuce build

Somebody had done their emergency air line in red, service air line in blue, fuel return lines in yellow, etc. It was 4-5 colors. It looked like a rainbow from their photos.:)

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Went to the Home Depot and bought multiple carts full of lumber. Had some of the boys working there help me push the carts outside. I told them to wait while I go get the car.rofl

Trying to find a thread I read earlier about Deuce build

It probably was him. I like reading his posts. I checked the one above. However, the one I am looking for was the one with a bunch of photos and people bragging about how clean the install was. Maybe he will respond.

Trying to find a thread I read earlier about Deuce build

I am trying to find a Deuce build thread I read earlier. The poster had an awesomely clean Deuce build with different color nylon lines installed for air, fuel and vent. Anyone know the build I a referring to? They had used blue, red, yellow etc. to distinguish the different uses.
