Anyone use a Deuce for a hauling business?

yes greenjeepster i built it. its a hoist from a grain truck with a small electric pump to power it. it works great for stone or firewood or anything else you want to put in the bed. stretch's truck is what i used as a reference.

Anyone use a Deuce for a hauling business?

ive hauled up to 8 tons of stone with mine. u just have to remember its an old truck its slow and drive carefully. i drive a six axle sterling for a living and i know the deuce will go far more places than the sterling even with full locking meritors in the rear.

    Bumperette Dump Hinge?

im not sure the stock bumperettes will hold the weight since they are only bolted to the frame and there is no support at the rear of them. the other issue you run into is bed clearance when its fully lifted.

wnat to turn up fuel pump alittle

its on top of the injection pump just behind where the six lines come out that go to the injectors. there is usually a cover with two 7/16ths head size bolts you must remove to see the nuts. the magic nuts size is 1/2 inch and you need a thin wrench to hold the insde nut and loosen the outer...

    Help finding a vibration.....

just an idea but is there any chance one of the brakes are warm after you drive it? ive had the same noise you describe in other vehicles and found one brake not releasing all the way. just rubs enough to build a little heat and then make the drum chatter.

deuce pto to run a dump hoist

Electric is my last resort. I have the hoist mounted and all i need is a way to power it. Do those electric pumps have the capability to run a two way valve?

deuce pto to run a dump hoist

i drive a dump truck for a living a six axle 06 sterling. i plan on putting a winch on later and would like the pto to run a pump for a hydraulic motor to run the winch. the stock ptos are pretty pricey and i thought if i could find something cheaper i would be further ahead.

deuce pto to run a dump hoist

deuce pto to run a dump hoist

im wondering if anyone has found a pto that will fit the deuce tranny to run a dump hoist without the winch or if i should quit looking and try to find a stock deuce pto with rear output. electric is not an option.

    Aftermarket engine upgrades

ive smoked 1 clutch broke 1 clutch and broke 1 input shaft in a nv4500. 24 valve cummins 100hp injectors and a 120 horse edge box but i love my hot rod cummins! i think it would be a nasty motor in a deuce along with the nv4500.
