939A2 rear axle hub oil leak

Mine is doing the same. Were you able to fix it? Any tips or part numbers? What did you have to take apart, the axel or just the ctis valve? Thank you

    m931a2 rear brakes won't release

Can you tell me where the CTIS control unit is located or a picture? Do I need a kit to rebuild it, or is it a matter of cleaning and lubing? The truck only has 2800 miles so it should not be worn out, but maybe froze up or dried out.

    m931a2 rear brakes won't release

Thank you so much! It was the KN25060. I'll get one ordered and the KN23000 too. The KN25060 had a plastic/rubber diaphragm inside that was hard and a circle cracked open. Somehow that prevented air going to the spring air tank. I took the diaphragm out and put it back on so I can at least move...

    m931a2 rear brakes won't release

Hi, I have a M931A2. I was driving down the road everything was fine, then it started slowing down. Eventually I figured out that the spring brakes had applied. After reading above, the spring brake tank has no pressure. I pressurized through the drain line with a compressor, and the spring...

    5 ton rpm

I finally (after 6.5 years) got to this project. I removed the tool box. It has a fuel can holder which adds 4 rusty bolts that need removed. I also removed the two bolts holding the value to the floor so it could drop down and be easier to work on. As mentioned above, the main fuel lines are...

    New M931A2 - advice needed

I have a couple problems with getting it hauled. 1) last couple times I had something picked up, GL sent units that were missing a lot of parts and not working. They did not match the pictures. Their contract says that once you pick it up, its yours even if it is a totally different item then...

    New M931A2 - advice needed

I read the TM and answered some questions. I would really like to hear about member's experiences with the CTIS and low tires, and anyone driving into AZ or in CA. I do not have a CDL but plenty of experience driving trucks. If driving for recreational purposes I don't believe a CDL is required.

    New M931A2 - advice needed

Yesterday, I won a GL auction on a M931A2 in Fontana CA. I have 2 other 5 tons (1 dump 1 cargo) but they have NDT tires, standard trans, and the non-turbo engines. I wanted one with super singles, an auto trans and a turbo. This one is a 1991 BMY. A couple of the tires are low in the GL...

    3000LMT Water Purification Unit

I don't remember where I found it, but I have a copy on my computer. If you PM your email address I can sent it to you. It is a user's manual. I still have a couple of these that I would like to sell!

    front wheel drive doesn't work

You might also want to call white owl trucking. I bought several small parts from them and thought that they were reasonable.

A tricky question for the SS oracles

Thank you! When are you starting your next thread. I would like to understand the point of these EUCs.

    CUCV Tachometer

Of course I would get some more opinions before holding the throttle open to see if the governor works!

    CUCV Tachometer

They should have a govenor so that you really can't over rev them unless perhaps going down a steep hill with the engine holding you back. In arizona one of the emission tests is to floor them in neutral and check the emssions. I think mine would rev to a little over 3000.

A tricky question for the SS oracles

What is the point of the EUC? If it is legal to send these overseas, why do they go to all the trouble to issue EUCs? Just curious.

    M35A2 and M35A3 Transporting Plants

Good to see these nice looking trucks put to a good use!

    CUCV Tachometer

My Banks turbo system came with one. It came with a sensor that mounts next to the balancer/pulley and works great!

    813 clutch slipping smell?

I got back up in the woods today and looked at the 813. The belts all seem to be loose. I can turn the water pump, fan, and power steering pulleys with my hands. It sounds like this may be the problem - engine heating up -> causes stuff to smell (possible belt slipping smell) -> I think it is...

    Broke down.

A large percentage of the time battery problems are just dirty terminals. Dirty terminals can keep the battery from charging properly, and not all enough amps to pass through the connection to turn over the engine. I would clean the terminals real well. If it still won't start, try to jump it...

How much work is it to put a locker from the rear diff into a front diff?
