It seems like an oxymoron (i.e.: Jumbo Shrimp) to wish you Godspeed at this point in your odyssey. Is there such a word as "Godcreep" or "Godcrawl". Who "issues" new words in the English language anywaze???

In any event, we continue to wish you well on your quest over Interstate Highways traveled slowly. Our prayers for safety, endurance, and an early arrival are being offered for you.

Perfect timing as we're going through Chattanooga at quiting time and need everyone of those signs lol. Oh well, it's just giving people more time to look at us and wish they were us and having an adventure like we are.

This brake setup does not work, it had a newer brake pack with a slip in pipe on one end.
I didn't think about it, but I should have told you that my M109A3 (your's sister) has the new air pack too... Glad you got it straightened out though! [thumbzup]

That's for sure! It's long, mostly green and goes slow, a real eye catcher we are! We got a lot of long looks driving through Ft. Campbell. Looks of confusion from the young GI's running PT. And looks of interest from the old guys driving around in their cars, like they were remembering a time long ago.
Ahhhhh that brings back memories ... of just a couple weeks ago! It is a funny feeling driving an army tuck on and off base!

Glad things are going well for you guys, stay safe!

The mountain pass on I-24 EB, west of Chattanooga, was a bear going up with no third slow truck lane like they have on the WB side. The gear of choice was low range/4th gear at 20 mph, of course it helped to have someone shifting the trans while the driver was going in and out of low range. Then you get to come down the other side, 4th gear and brakes now and then got us to the bottom. GPS is showing home at 3 am now. auaaua

When I did my deuce tow w/ a Deuce my truck liked 3rd gear and High range and 2100 rpm did 25mph up some long hills in NV and AZ. Also it liked the cool mornings more then the Hot afternoon!!!

Good luck guys, be safe!!!:driver:

Trolling along GA I-75 SB near MM 100, everything still humming along. Thanks for checking on us, more tomorrow. :driver:
Roger that, gentlemen.

You are cleared for final approach to Lakeland runway One Zero Niner.

Ops Note: Due to your late arrival, expect no pilot ammenities, no marching band, no red carpet, and absolutely NO babes with champagne to welcome you after your extreme adventure. The dogs WILL bark and the local LEOs WILL look you over REEEEEAL GOOD. Both HomeboyLand Security and some guys in BLACK SUBURBANS will be tracking your landing and taxiing to your terminal and MIGHT want to <with German accent> "SEE YOUR PAPERS!

Get yourselves some good night's rest. You've earned it!

We are all holding our breath, awaiting something like this......

Outstanding! Those guys need to call in sick today (Wink Wink) They deserve it!

I had the honor of looking under the hood of Phil's truck back in March at the Tampa-Bay Get-Together--That is one fine machine! (And Operator!)

Well I found time to get on here. I'm at 36 hours with no sleep! No, you don't really sleep in a deuce! My eyes would not stay open anymore! As stated we got home at 6:30 AM to Ricks house and I secured the truck and jumped in my pick up to beat iit home to get ready for my 8 hour work day. I took Monday off without pay to make this trip, had to work today! This first is Monday morning at the hotel. The second is the guard shack. The rest are what we found and some of the trip home after I relinquished the wheel.
When I'm through here I am going to bed!
The last pick is of passing under taxi ways or runways of the airport.
