5degrees. Tried the manifold heater. Will sputter and run. -22degrees either in the intake and vroom. I will install a block heater this spring and a either kit. I don't like trashing batteries and starters. I thought dueces had to turn over at least 800 rpm to kick? Mine does.

Oh, I had just inspected those rods this spring. I was just driving down a straight road when I felt something not duece like and a POP noise. Not good. I say just replace them if they don't look perfect.

This is just what a buddy and fellow SS member just thought of doing to fix mine. I tore the torque rod right off the rubber at a Boyscout camp doing volunteer work of all things. We used a big c-clamp and a peice of steel to try and push the parts together long enough to get my rig back home...

Bought mine from a private individual. Should of went GL. Love it. Was a duece and five ton mech. in the Army. They are just big pickups with an attitude. Our boyscout troop loves it.:-P I want to get a five ton. Maybe a ten also. Green is addictive.:wink:

Very respectable build. Great job! Making me want to cut mine too. Singles are good but limiting tire size potential... I like your bracing the lift in the front too.

Are you parting out the unused parts from this conversion? Fenders, top etc?
