Well, with the exterior painting that is. This is a sherwin williams industrial enamel I got from a flea market $50.00 a gallon paint for $15 ea. I call it gravel road brown. Next is to due the remaining frame and axles, satin black. UHH I meant to post photos, but I guess it did not work. How...

Working on the box and cab, did paint the cab thus far. Sandblasting the box now mostly surface rust, this is...

    Deuce alternator showing overcharging

alternator showing overcharging In my Deuce, the alternator showing and sounds different when the gauge shows its overcharging. This seems to only happen when I'm wheeling down the road at 55 m.p.h. give or take a m.p.h. I can hear something whining away under the hood, then check my gauges and...

replacing plastic fuel lines, where to buy?

Yeah Looks like I will have to make my own. The local Napa had only hydraulic fittings and hoses available. No one in our town had ferrels like these either. Just standard plumbing brass. Standard brake air line was good to 120 psi and o.d. fine, but the i.d. would not work with the ferrels and...

replacing plastic fuel lines, where to buy?

Can I get the plastic fuel lines at my local Napa or Auto Value? If not, is there a locally available replacement? Copper lines? Do the ferrels fit the same? Found a pinhole leak where they were touching. Thanks Meindl

    trouble bleeding deuces fuel lines

Got it! Found the old original fuse was bad after all. I installed an inline set-up with a modern plastic blade type fuse, 10a. After removing the old set-up there is plenty of room in the housing. The old fuse housing was corroded anyway and newer ones are easier to find. In tank pump worked...

menards or lowes have a paint that works?

I use automotive brand paints, mainly dupont. I do not really want to spend $135 a gallon to paint my deuce, and would rather get it locally than order it. Does Lowes or Menards have a type that anyone has used? I will be spraying it of course. Valspar or Sherwin Williams possible? The low or...

Red flashing light nstead of the buzzer?

The buzzer is not a deal breaker for me, but would still rather have a blinking red light readily visible. Maybe placed in an overly obviuos location for maximum visibility. Thanks for replies and thoughts, Meindl

Red flashing light nstead of the buzzer?

Anyone know of a 24v warning pressure light, instead of the buzzer on a deuce for the low air pressure warning? Just do not like the buzzer deal. Thanks, Meindl

    trouble bleeding deuces fuel lines

ah ha Looks like the fuse is bad to the in tank pump, as well as the fuse holder and the main power wire to the pump looks shabby. I have 25v of power to the plug on top of the tank. With this fix, I think bleeding should work. Going to cross my fingers- Meindl
